Hello everyone!
I've been coming back to Eysk for years, and I'm here to give you the lowdown on this amazing resort town. It's either a paradise or a total letdown, depending on who you ask. I'm going to give it a shout-out, but with a caveat: Eysk is, without a doubt, a kids' resort only. Don't even think about coming here without the little ones.
The thing is, there's no actual sea in Eysk (there's a tiny bit, but that's about it). The main water feature is this super-long, shallow pool that's perfect for little kids, but a total disappointment for their parents.
Eysk resort reviews
That's why there's such a disconnect. People expect a full-on beach vacation, but what they get is a shallow pool that's basically a giant kiddie pool. But hey, it's warm, clean, and kid-friendly - no risk of rotavirus here!
I've been to Eysk every year for the past 6 years, and I've seen the town really try to revamp itself. They put in new flowerbeds, install new attractions, and get ready for the tourist season. It's a work in progress, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're traveling with kids.
A Relaxing Getaway in Yeyskxa0
Who Will Love YeyskGrandmas with kids, single moms with kids, anyone looking for a peaceful, hassle-free, and safe vacation. The city's streets are constantly patrolled by police and Cossacks, and public drinking and smoking are strictly prohibited.

Beaches in YeyskThere are plenty of beaches, all clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. For adults, the best beach is on the right side of the Yeysk spit, where you can even swim a bit. I wrote a separate review about the Yeysk spit, but for adults, this is the top beach in Yeysk for a proper beach experience. There's also a popular rocky beach, but the water is terrible, and you can easily hurt your feet. I wouldn't recommend it.
For kids, all the other beaches are great, except for the one near the train station and the ones further in the liman, where the water quality is much worse and tends to stagnate. (See the photo of the kids' beach).
Eisk Beach for KidsI've gotta say, the beach near the water park is a real winner for kids - it's shallow, the sand is perfect, and even the little ones can enjoy it.

Beach Season in EiskBeach season in Eisk is shorter than on the Black Sea, running from June to August. The Azov Sea is quite shallow, so as soon as the nights start cooling down, the water temperature drops quickly. I was there in 2023, and by August 20th, the temperature had dropped to around +20 at night, and soon it was even down to +15. The sea was already cooling down, even though September hadn't started yet. If you're planning to visit in the second half of August, consider whether a water temperature of 22-24 degrees is comfortable for you - if so, then go for it!

Value for money on productsI've noticed that locals tend to hike up prices during the peak season. It's just the way it is. One solution is to head to the Saturday market near the stadium on Harbor Alley 8 (open from 8 am to 1 pm) for some great deals on social media groups where prices are often more reasonable than on the main market. Sometimes it's even worth taking a taxi there to stock up for the week. I've found that I can get veggies and seasonal fruits at a fraction of the cost compared to the central market.
The city is also filled with Magnits, Pyaterochkas, local shops, and even a Dobrocen. Prices remain consistent throughout the year.

Customer serviceNow, this is where things get a bit tricky. Progress is being made, but it's happening at a snail's pace. For many in the tourism industry, saying 'hello' and 'goodbye' is still a daunting task. I've noticed this particularly on the central market, where some vendors might try to rip you off or overcharge. But I've learned to just avoid them altogether. I'm a firm believer in voting with my wallet. Speaking of which, here's a photo of the central market.
Things to do in Eysk for kidsI've gotta say, Eysk is great for kids, but that's about it. The city is super green, with tons of parks and squares, and every single one has kid-friendly attractions.
Ейск парк I've got to give a shout-out to this awesome local ice cream in Yeysk - it's always delicious and just the right amount of sweet. Yeysk ice creamAnd the Starominskaya kvass is just as amazing - it's the perfect pick-me-up on a hot day.
Starominskaya kvassThe view from the waterfront promenade is just stunning.
The old cobblestone streets and merchant houses in the city center are a real treat - I mean, they really got me (at least, I'm not the only one who thinks so)!
Eysk's old cobblestones I've been walking around and I'm just in awe.
Eysk's old sign on an ancient buildingNightclubs and adult entertainment are definitely here, but compared to all the options for kids - it's a drop in the ocean.
Telescopes are set up along the waterfront and beaches for tourists to look out at the sea (paid service).
Eisk Telescope I've spent hours exploring the Primorsky Embankment, and it's one of my favorite spots for a stroll. You'll find the aquarium, dolphinarium, oceanarium, crocodile canyon, and a zoo - including a heartwarming one. Most of these attractions are located along the embankment.
Cafes, restaurants, and eateries - there are countless options to choose from, so you're sure to find something that suits your taste.
I've developed a soft spot for Crazy Kitchen and Gioffri's Pizzeria.
Prices in Eisk vary, and you can find affordable accommodations near the sea. I've come across deals starting from 300 rubles per person with private hosts. Keep in mind that these prices are seasonal. I didn't visit during the off-season, but I've seen some crazy deals on Avito - as low as 100 rubles per person per night.
By the way, I highly recommend checking out the 'Domashnie Delikatesy' stores scattered throughout the city. Their natural sausages are delicious, and the prices are reasonable.
Walking around the city, you can stumble upon some amazing hidden gems - beautiful spots in residential areas between high-rise buildings.
Old streetlights like the ones around the central market, but on a smaller scale - what a delight.
Each one adds its own unique touch to the city.
Wrapping UpI'll be honest, Eysk is a great budget-friendly resort town, but it's not the Black Sea - you have to understand that. And in Eysk, it's not even the sea, it's the Taganrog Bay. But it's warm, shallow, and super therapeutic, perfect for kids.
I've fallen in love with Eysk. As someone who lives in the Krasnodar Krai, I often come here for a relaxing getaway. When I'm craving the real sea experience with waves and depth, I can swim on the Eysk Spit or head to Dolzhanskaya, which is just a short drive from Eysk. For me, Eysk is more than just a beach town - it's a place for leisurely strolls, a calm atmosphere, and a healing climate. It's always less crowded than the popular Black Sea resorts, which is exactly what I'm looking for.

I genuinely recommend it.
Thanks for your attention.
What to visit in Eysk:
Primorsky Embankment Scenic views, Ossetian pastries, and an evening stroll. How to get there.
Park Poddubno A must-visit for everyone, with a massive territory and plenty of entertainment options.
Hands down, the central beach in Eisk is one of the best. The water's crystal clear, the ocean views are stunning, and the crowd's always lively. Plus, the amenities are top-notch.
I've had some amazing meals at this top-rated eatery in Eisk. The prices are reasonable, the food's spotless, and the service is always on point.
Eisk's spit is a must-visit, especially during the off-season. It's like having the entire beach to yourself, with the ocean as your sole companion. I've been going there since September 2023, and it's become my go-to spot.
I'm absolutely obsessed with this adorable bakery in Eisk. Their panna cotta is to die for – it's pure bliss, and I'm hooked.
As for places to avoid, I'd say this cinema needs a serious revamp. It looks great from the outside, but the interior's a letdown, and it's a shame there's only one movie theater in town.
