Hello there!
I recently stumbled upon this face mask and thought I'd better write a review before I forget. I found it on the marketplaces and was surprised to see it costs just 15 rubles.
This EOYINS face mask is an all-natural, hydrating mask that's packed with active ingredients to nourish and protect your skin. Its unique formula helps to lock in moisture and keep your skin feeling soft and supple.
EOYINS Tissue Face Mask Night with Fullerene Fullerene Wake-Up Night MaskBrand: EOYINS (I'd never heard of it, but apparently it's a legit brand)Country of origin: China.Price: The interesting thing is that I couldn't find it for sale individually, only in packs. And even with all the calculations, it works out to be around 15 rubles. For example, a pack of 30 costs 430 rubles)Where to buy: You can find it in the same packs on the marketplaces. Just search for it by image or filter by price. But I didn't actually buy it - I got it as a gift in a box with some other stuff before New Year's.Design
This is a classic design, a standard-sized package with a simple rectangular shape and rounded corners. The thing that really catches my eye is the silver color. The graphics are quite ethnic, and I found that there are other masks in this series, but with a different girl.
EOYINS Fullerene Wake-Up Night Mask Tissue MaskOn the front, you'll find the mask's name in English and Chinese, along with the brand.
On the back, there's a detailed annotation. I've got to give credit to the Chinese manufacturer - even on the mirrored plastic, the text is crystal clear, and I was able to read it and translate it easily. I'll actually quote some of the instructions later, in case anyone's interested.
EOYINS Fullerene Wake-Up Night Mask Tissue MaskVolume of the package: 25 milliliters (not the largest volume, so let's see if there's enough serum).
I found this interesting: two columns of text with the instructions in the middle, oriented differently. And I didn't find a section on storage conditions. But I guess it's pretty self-explanatory - it's best to store the mask in a cool place, and it's generally a good idea to keep any cosmetics away from direct sunlight.
When I first got my hands on this product, I was impressed by the packaging. It's clear that the manufacturer has made an effort to provide detailed information in two languages.
It claims to contain fullerenes for skin care, which are soft, gentle, and beneficial for the skin. It's supposed to be a delicate, moisturizing, and fine-line-smoothing mask that hydrates the skin while improving the condition of dry skin, leaving it feeling soft, hydrated, and transparent.
The production date and expiration date are clearly marked on the packaging, making it easy to understand. My mask could have still been used after a year, and I'm guessing it's already been two years old. Tkaneyva maska dlya lica EOYINS Nochnaya s fyllerenom Fullerene Wake-Up Night MaskWhen I opened the package, I was surprised to find that it's foil-wrapped, which is great. And at this point, I realized that the product comes with a generous amount of serum. I'm guessing it's because of the thin base that allows the serum to penetrate deeply. Either way, there's a lot of moisture in the package, and even at the bottom, it's still quite wet.
Description
This mask is a crisp white color and has a circular shape. To be honest, I thought it was the same size as that other mask, but it's from For Me and it was pricier.
The cutouts for my eyes and mouth are nice and neat. No sloppy edges or frayed bits - it's all been done with precision. I was half-expecting some kind of catch.
It's got that same feature with the plastic sheeting. Only this time, it's a thicker layer, but with holes in it. It's there to prevent the mask's base from getting damaged when you unfold it.The mask itself is super thin and delicate - you can really feel it on your hands. It's similar to the Elizabeth masks, which are also super thin. They stretch when you hold them, so it's way easier to apply them to your face with the sheeting on.
Description of the serum
As for the consistency, it's a liquid serum that's slippery to the touch and feels cold. But it's transparent and colorless, with no visible particles. There's no cloudiness, although I thought I saw some air bubbles in the packaging.
The scent of the serum is pleasant, synthetic, I'll give it that. It's like a floral perfume note. Not overpowering, not annoying, but it doesn't linger on the skin for long either. Although, I have to admit, I kinda liked how the scent stuck around on my hands while I had the mask on. I took it off, and my hands still smelled for a bit afterwards. Guess my hands are just more dehydrated than the rest of my skin, so they absorb it more.
How to use
There's a super simple instruction manual in pictures. So, even if you don't speak a word of the language, you'll be fine. But, just in case, I translated it for you:
Clean your skin with warm waterOpen the package, take out the mask, and apply it to your faceSmooth out the mask with your fingers to make sure it's evenly spreadRelax for 15-20 minutes to let your skin fully absorb the mask's nutrientsRemove the mask and gently massage the remaining essence into your skin to help it absorb fully
My experience and results
Okay, so I'll get to the point. The mask itself was just what I needed at the time. I only cut it along the bridge of my nose to make it fit my face better, and to lift up the forehead area a bit. The material's thin, but it's not super tight everywhere. That's probably just because of the shape of the base, though.
I have to say, this mask was super comfortable to wear. The serum was tacky, but the material was thin, so it felt nice against my skin. The mask adhered really well to my face, and I didn't need to adjust it once during the entire time I was wearing it. I was just sitting there watching a show, so I didn't even talk much.
When I first applied it, the sensations were really pleasant. It had a light, soothing aroma, and the moisture felt great. The mask didn't slip off, but I did get some on my chin and neck when I first applied it, so I had to touch it up afterwards.
Even after 20 minutes, the mask was still pretty damp. I mean, it felt like the top layer had dried out, but if I pressed a bit harder, I could still feel the moisture underneath. It's probably just the top layer drying out, but that didn't affect the mask's performance. After I removed the mask, my skin felt super slippery, like I'd applied a layer of oil. I massaged it in to make sure it absorbed properly, but I was surprised to find it took a bit longer than usual. It's not just about the serum absorbing, either - it's the actual moisture and slipperiness. But at the same time, it's really nice to massage with a mask like this, and I think I'll use it again with a quartz roller.
One thing that really stood out to me after a week of use was how smooth my skin felt to the touch. I mean, it's no secret that this product contains collagen, but still, it was a pleasant surprise. The soft, velvety texture under my fingers was a nice change from the initial stickiness and moisture. By the time that was all gone, the scent had faded too. I didn't experience any irritation, tightness, or redness – in fact, my skin seemed to be in a better state than before.
I've got to admit, one thing that's always bugged me about sheet masks is that I'm always left wondering if there's still serum left on my skin after I take them off. Even if I don't feel it at first, I just know it's there, and that's been driving me crazy. So, about 30 minutes after removing the mask, I went and washed my face. The smoothness of my skin didn't disappear, but my peace of mind definitely did) And a few hours later, the feeling of comfort still lingered, and my skin's dryness hadn't come back. Now, I know sheet masks won't make my skin younger, but they always work. Even the most mediocre mask can be useful. I mean, at the end of the day, it's just a wet, cool compress with some aromatherapy elements. That's always a good thing. And even if my pores didn't shrink and my pigmentation didn't disappear, PS - a few hours later, I remembered I'd left the used mask on the edge of my magazine rack, found it, and oh, miracle, it was still damp and slippery 😂 I have no idea how that's possible, but maybe some people would actually like that. I mean, you're just lying there watching a show, fixed my face, then moved the mask to my neck, then to my elbows, then to my feet, and then it just vanished :D
To be honest, the main problem I still have with this mask (and I think it's the skin on my forehead) is that it didn't really solve it. I don't want to resort to using pins, but what's really bugging me is the presence of wrinkles on my forehead. And when it comes to serums, I try to choose ones with collagen, anti-aging, and all that. But masks are the weakest link here, and this one was no exception. But it does moisturize. That's a fact - even after washing my face and a few hours later, my skin still felt healthy and fresh.
Product Composition
I didn't bother to break down the entire composition - this isn't a product where you'd expect to find any weird ingredients. But I did find this on the packaging:
Hydrolyzed collagen, which is part of the formula, is imported from South Korea.
That's really good to know. I mean, it's pretty standard for any fabric to contain collagen, and the animal-derived kind is the most common, so it would be beneficial anyway. But it's nice to see a hint at its quality. There's also the usual castor oil, and two more rare components:
CENTELLA ASIATICA. Its main active components are pentaterepenoids (or triterpene saponins). These compounds stimulate collagen and hyaluronic acid synthesis in the dermis, accelerate tissue regeneration, suppress inflammatory processes, and strengthen blood vessel walls.
What really caught my attention about the EOYINS Fullerene Wake-Up Night Mask is the jasmine sambac extract. Apparently, it smooths out the skin, boosts its elasticity, and evens out its structure. This extract also seems to:
stimulate metabolic processes;reduce pores;give the skin a pleasant scent and a soft, velvety texture.
My Verdict on the Mask
I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. My initial skepticism has faded, and I'm actually considering buying a bigger pack of these masks for daily use.
Disclaimer: EOYINS is a registered trademark, and its name translates to Qiaoying.
