Packaging
The product itself comes in a soft plastic tube with a long, pointed nozzle for easy dispensing. It's beautifully designed in beige tones with leaf patterns. The reverse side has all the essential information about the product, its composition, and usage.
Texture is creamy, light, and packed with a ton of sparkles that melt away with the warmth of your skin. But even with all those sparkles, it's super easy to work with. It blends out beautifully, creating a gorgeous, semi-transparent effect that highlights just the right areas. The creamy texture of the product dissolves seamlessly into your skin, looking super natural and elegant. You can easily adjust the intensity by layering it on with gentle tapping motions, from sheer to more intense. And the best part? It doesn't feel greasy or sticky at all – it's just comfortable.
We have three shades to choose from:
01 champagne - a natural beige with a subtle, silvery sheen
02 cotton candy - a soft, rosy pink that's perfect for subtle, shimmery blushes
03 sun-kissed - a gorgeous, peachy shade for that sun-kissed glow
I'm also loving the 25ml volume – it's plenty for a product like this. If you're using it just on the high points of your face (cheekbones, cupid's bow), the amount you need is super minimal. I'd say you get about two tiny dots per cheek, and that's it.
I've also been using it in a different way, kind of like the Shik body glow. I mix a tiny bit of highlighter with a tiny bit of cream and apply it to my body, to the areas I want to highlight, like my shoulders or collarbones when I'm wearing an open dress. Just be careful, though, since it does leave a mark. And the 25ml bottle lasts a long time.
Application
I apply the highlighter straight from the nozzle onto my skin, spreading it with gentle tapping motions using the Shik Foundation synthetic brush. The highlighter blends easily into the skin, lays flat without any streaks, and allows for layering without pulling on the lower layer. The tone doesn't break down, but instead blends and merges. It doesn't set, but does leave a faint mark. By the end of the day, it fades if you touch your hair. It's best to keep your hair tied back.
Longevity
I usually don't set anything on top, but wear it on its own. Without setting, it can leave a mark, for example, on your hair, and by the end of the day, it's gone.
Removal
I remove it with oil and foam or micellar water. No issues arise, and I haven't noticed any negative reactions from my skin.
So, to sum it up, I really like these highlighters. They have a nice, easy-to-work-with formula, good pigmentation, and a beautiful shade. Using them is also a pleasure, as the tone doesn't break down, and they hold up well when set. I'd definitely recommend checking them out.
