Editor's Summary
I'm a hair mask fanatic, and I've tried my fair share of products. The Element Hair Mask with Argan Oil is a solid choice, but it's not my go-to. I loved their moisturizing mask, so I thought I'd give this strengthening mask a shot. Here's the lowdown on my experience with it - the good, the bad, and everything in between.
Specifications
I'm one of those people who needs a conditioner or hair mask after shampooing, or my hair just won't cooperate.
I'd already tried the moisturizing mask from Element, which I loved, so I thought I'd give their strengthening mask with argan oil a shot.

Shipping was pretty fast, but the packaging was a different story. It looked like it had been handled by a team of pros who didn't exactly handle it with care - the protective film was all torn and dirty. Luckily, the plastic itself was sturdy.
The packaging has all the necessary info on it, which is great. I love that you only need to leave the mask on for 3-5 minutes. I've never managed to do that, though - I usually end up leaving it on for a bit longer.
It takes a bit of elbow grease to open the foil membrane, but it's worth it. You get a white, thick mask with a subtle, pleasant scent that's not overpowering.
The mask has a good consistency to it - it scoops out easily and doesn't budge when you flip it over.
You don't need much of the mask - just a small amount will do the trick. It spreads evenly over damp hair and is easy to comb through.
My take: this mask is a solid choice, but not my favorite. It's a good value for the price, and it moisturizes and smooths out my hair nicely. It's also easy to style, but it doesn't quite live up to my expectations.
My hair's straight, heavy, and I don't really have a problem with frizz. However, when I air-dry my hair with this mask, it doesn't come out perfectly smooth - I need to use a blow dryer to get the job done.
Before
After But if I use a blow dryer and comb through it, it's fine. I've had issues with some masks making my hair dirtier faster, but that wasn't the case here.
The price-to-quality ratio is good. I use it once a week, and my hair looks great. It's a solid option, but I still prefer the moisturizing mask from Element.
