My Thoughts on the EKEL Green Tea Face Mask - Budget-Friendly, But Not My Favorite

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've tried my fair share of face masks, and the EKEL Green Tea Face Mask from Korea caught my attention. With its affordable price tag of around 70 rubles, it's a great option for those on a budget. However, after using it for a week, I found some issues that made it not my favorite. The mask is quite wide, making it a bit tricky to apply evenly. It also tends to drip down during use, which can be messy. I'll break down the pros and cons of this budget-friendly face mask, and you can decide if it's worth the price.

My Thoughts on the EKEL Green Tea Face Mask - Budget-Friendly, But Not My Favorite
Hello there!
I've been a fan of face masks for years, and they're always a staple in my collection. These masks are a game-changer for getting my skin in order and giving it a healthy glow. I've got to say, I'm particularly fond of Korean masks.
This time around, I settled on the fabric face mask for my face, 'Green Tea' from ekel.
I purchased the mask from the Magnit-Kosmetik store chain for around 70 rubles. The product comes in a 25-gram volume and has a shelf life of 3 years, manufactured in Korea.
The design of the mask is fairly eye-catching, if a bit understated. It's a classic sachet, done in a light green color. On the front, you've got the name of the mask, the brand manufacturer, and general information about it.
On the back, you can find the composition, application method, and shelf life. The sealing tab on the sides is pretty wide, which is a nice touch.
There's a lot of product, and it tends to drip down during use. I found that the mask is pretty wide, which made it a bit difficult to apply evenly.
According to the manufacturer, you can get rid of greasy shine, reduce enlarged pores, and soothe inflammatory processes with the Ekel Ultra Hydrating Essence Mask Green Tea. It's got a high concentration of active components, so it works instantly.
The formula is based on green tea extract, which provides effective anti-inflammatory action, improves vitamin and mineral penetration into the skin, and enhances blood microcirculation, reducing inflammation and puffiness.
The ingredients include Aqua, Glycerin, Alcohol, Polysorbate-80, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, Methylparaben, Disodium EDTA, Triethanolamine, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Water, and Flavor.
To use the mask, make sure to clean your skin first. Then, gently massage the mask in the sealed pouch to distribute the essence evenly, and open the pouch. Apply the mask to your face, either warm (soak the pouch in hot water) or cold (chill in the fridge). Carefully spread the mask across your face, and use any remaining essence on your neck and décolletage. Leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes – no rinsing needed!
My skin's in pretty bad shape right now, with breakouts, enlarged pores, blackheads, post-acne scars, dryness on my cheeks, redness, and flakiness. Before using the mask, I chill it in the fridge for 5 minutes, then apply it to my clean, prepped skin.
Results-wise, the mask did a decent job of refreshing my skin, evening out my tone, and soothing any irritation. However, I have to say that the moisturizing wasn't quite enough for me. Twenty minutes after applying, my skin still felt tight and flaky.
And to make matters worse, there was this nasty stickiness left on my skin after using it. I just wanted to wash my face ASAP.
Overall, the EKEL Green Tea Face Mask left me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, it's budget-friendly, does a decent job of evening out my skin tone, and soothes irritation. On the other hand, the mask is a bit too wide, the solution drips down my neck while I'm using it, leaves a sticky residue on my skin, and provides mediocre moisturizing.
Thanks for reading!
