I've always been a bit skeptical about installment plans. I remember buying a polo shirt from Lamoda back in my student days, and I paid it off in installments. I don't even remember the name of the service, but I do recall getting hit with a massive interest rate of around 30-40%. At first, I was skeptical about paying for purchases through the Dol service too. But eventually, I decided to give it a try.

My purchases aren't exactly huge, so I figured it was just a way to motivate myself to work harder and pay off the debt early. It's like a game, right?

Last summer, I ordered some toiletries from an online store and decided it was time to give Dol a shot. My friend had been using it for ages and raving about it.

To pay, I downloaded the app, provided my phone number, and linked my card, which would automatically deduct payments if I didn't pay off the debt early. That's it – no need to provide any extra info or proof of income.

The app calculates your available limit, and I'm not sure if everyone gets the same amount or not. But for me, it's more than enough, since I don't spend that much.

I'd give it 4 stars, but I'd deduct one star for the fee. I've since switched to another partial payment service that doesn't charge any fees – it's been working out great so far.
