I'll be honest, I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to places I've visited, but Adygea really won me over. The natural beauty of this region is breathtaking, and I found myself falling head over heels for its unique landscapes.
My first experience in Adygea was in the village of Guamka, where I stumbled upon the Guam Gorge. I visited in early June 2024, and the weather was perfect – not too hot, but everything was already lush and green. The Kurjips mountain river was a real showstopper, and I was impressed by its sheer power and beauty.

I fell in love with the village itself. The little market was a treasure trove of local goodies, and I still remember the delicious cheese and fresh fish. What really stood out was the amazing taste of the sausage – it's clear that the ingredients are all natural, which is a shame because it's hard to get internet in places like this, and you have to pay in cash.
Visiting the Guam Gorge was an experience I'll never forget – the river was thundering along, and the sound of the water was incredible. The scenery on the slopes was mind-blowing, and it made me realize just how vast and unique Russia is. And I want to see it all!
Adygea, RussiaI visited a thermal spring on the same day – H2O on Health Resort 4*. It's not a bad place to relax, but I later found a spot that's way better – Park Hajok Guest House 3*, Russia, Kamennomostsky Settlement. You really do learn by comparing. Maybe this resort focuses on the therapeutic properties: they have three pools with different temperatures. In contrast, the guest house is all about comfortable relaxation, which is more my thing.

And another tour caught my attention – visiting the Rufabgo waterfalls and the Lago-Naki plateau. As it turned out, I went there in January 2026, and I didn't regret it for a second – the frozen waterfalls were creating these stunning ice formations, and despite the tough climb, the views were totally worth it. And if you're hiking with a fun and friendly group, the whole experience becomes an adventure you'll always remember!

And now I've got it on my bucket list to visit it in the spring or during the golden autumn. And I understand that this is just a small part of what you can see in Adygea. By the way, we were taken to a really cool cave-like café called Meot – that was an unforgettable experience. And another place that's stuck in my heart is visiting the honey house: I've never seen such a variety anywhere, and the hospitality was amazing – herbal tea in tea infusers and wooden sticks for tasting all sorts of honey! Plus, there were cheeses, meat products, and alcoholic beverages made from honey.
Adygea, Russia I was impressed by the variety and the taste – I spent 4,000 rubles here and I was worried about how I'd get it all home. Once I got back, I wished I'd bought more than just two jars of quince and orange marmalade. I ended up making a quince tea that was amazing – delicious, natural, and healthy.
I highly recommend it!
