Hello everyone!
I'm super stoked that our local gym, DDX, has finally opened its doors in our neighborhood!
I couldn't wait to check it out and see how it's set up.
As you walk in, you'll notice the rules of entry are clearly displayed.
Inside, everything is spotless and brand new - it's a real treat!
One thing that caught my eye was the spacious bathroom with multiple stalls.
And, of course, there are multiple sinks - no more waiting in line!
The main hall's got a pretty cool vibe going on with dim lighting and neon accents.
They've got a whole row of elliptical machines set up.
Followed by a row of treadmills, which are pretty close together, so you'll be running shoulder-to-shoulder.
In the middle of the hall, there are some new exercise machines that look pretty sweet.
I love that the machines track your reps - if you don't complete an exercise, it won't count it.
On the right, there's a timer for rest periods.
They've also got equipment like medicine balls, resistance bands, and mats at the front desk - you can even stretch on the mats!
Next to the glass wall is the group fitness area - it's pretty spacious, but the column in the center does limit your view.
There are yoga mats and blocks on the floor.
And, of course, there are the 'dumbbell' stands for strength training.
They've got separate mats for yoga.
And blocks.
At the end, I checked out the spa area - it's just as clean and well-maintained.
My only gripe is the close positioning of the treadmills - but if they're not fully booked, you might be able to get by.
The lockers in the changing room are a bit cramped, and the coat hooks are a bit too high for average height.
These are minor quibbles, though - overall, I'd definitely recommend this gym!
