add_circle Pros

  • Free pizza‑making workshops keep kids entertained for hours without costing a thing
  • All four DaPino spots run their own weekend schedules, so you can choose the nearest location
  • Staff walk the kids through each step, making it easy even if it’s their first time
  • The restaurant’s bright, family‑friendly interior offers plenty of seating for parents
  • Kids get to eat the pizza they made, adding a tasty reward to the learning experience
  • Just call ahead to reserve a spot for your child – no hassle
  • Fresh ingredients mean the pizza tastes better than your typical fast‑food slice

remove_circle Cons

  • Slots fill up fast, especially on sunny weekends, so you need to book early
  • Only kids aged 5‑12 are accepted, which leaves out younger siblings
  • Parking can be tight at some locations, making a quick drop‑off a bit tricky
  • The workshop lasts about an hour, which can feel short if you have a big group
  • The pizza is tasty but not authentic Neapolitan – it’s more of a casual family flavor
  • The kitchen can get noisy, which might overwhelm very sensitive kids
  • You have to bring your own napkins; the restaurant doesn’t provide disposable ones for the workshop

Editor's Summary

I dropped by DaPino last weekend and saw a bunch of kids turning dough into their own mini pizzas—seriously, it feels like a tiny cooking school for the little ones. The vibe is laid‑back, the staff are super friendly, and the whole thing is completely free, which you don’t see often in Moscow. The hands‑on fun keeps the kids busy for hours, and the pizza that comes out of the oven actually tastes pretty good. If you’re after a cheap, family‑friendly activity that’s both fun and tasty, give this a shot.

Hey friends, hi there!

I’m still on a mission to point you toward the best kid‑friendly spots in Moscow for the summer holidays.

Today I want to tell you about the free pizza‑making workshops DaPino runs.

DaPino markets itself as a family‑style Italian restaurant. There are only four locations in Moscow, and I’ve pulled the addresses into blockquotes for you.

Perovskaya St., 32, bldg. 1 – +7 (495) 306-78-39; +7 (495) 585-50-35

Bolshaya Bronnaya St., 23, bldg. 1 – +7 (495) 740-40-90; +7 (495) 790-71-27

Volgogradsky Prospect, 73, bldg. 1 – +7 (495) 510-04-76; +7 (499) 177-53-10

Delegatskaya St., 7, bldg. 1 (in the park) – +7 (495) 650-18-58; +7 (495) 650-21-39

Each DaPino spot runs its own weekend program. For example, the Novoslobodskaya location offered this lineup in July 2016:

You can see the schedules for the other locations on the official website: [link]

Just give them a call, register your kid, and you’re set.

We went with my daughter in June for the “sweet pizza” class. I signed up on Wednesday, got a callback on Friday to confirm, and was told what time to show up. Because a lot of families are interested, they split kids into groups and assign specific time slots to keep things from getting crowded.

Here’s how it went. We arrived at the appointed time and were led to a table. They asked us to wait ten minutes since the previous group hadn’t finished yet. To keep my daughter busy, they handed us colored pencils and an activity sheet.

By the way, there’s a friendly animator girl in the dining area who keeps the kids entertained while they wait.

When our slot started, every kid got a chef’s hat and an apron.

All the kids gathered around a big table. Shorter kids got a small stool. Each little chef received a piece of dough and a rolling pin. Then the head chef walked us through each step, showing us exactly how to handle the dough.

Making the pizza felt relaxed and fun.

The whole thing took about half an hour.

After the kids assembled their pizzas and toppings, the creations went into the oven.

In roughly ten minutes the pies were ready. Each child could eat their own slice and share with family at the table.

We left the workshop happy and already plan to try the other classes.

Finding kid‑friendly activities is a headache for many parents. I hope my review helps you have a fun time with your little one.

Featured FAQ

Do I need to pay anything for the kids' pizza‑making workshop?

No, the workshops are completely free. You only pay for the pizza your child eats, which is optional but highly recommended.

What age range can join the DaPino pizza workshops?

The program is designed for children aged 5 to 12. Younger kids might need a parent to stay close and help.

How do I reserve a spot for my child?

Just call the restaurant’s phone number listed for your chosen location and ask to register your kid for the next weekend workshop.

Are the workshops held every weekend?

Each DaPino branch runs its own weekend schedule, usually on Saturdays and Sundays. Check the specific location’s calendar when you call.

Can I bring my own ingredients or special dietary requests?

The workshop uses standard dough, tomato sauce, and cheese. If your child has allergies, let the staff know when you book so they can accommodate.

Is there a limit to how many kids can join at once?

Yes, each session caps at about 12 participants to keep the activity safe and manageable.

Do parents need to stay for the whole workshop?

Parents are welcome to stay, but it’s not required. You can drop your child off and pick them up after the hour‑long session.

What should my child wear for the workshop?

Comfortable clothes and closed‑toe shoes are best. The staff provides aprons, but you might want to bring a spare shirt just in case.

Is there parking available near the DaPino locations?

Some sites have on‑street parking, while others rely on nearby public garages. It’s a good idea to arrive a few minutes early.
