D'Alba White Truffle Double Moisture Cream

I've got super dry skin, and this cream has been a total lifesaver. It's packed with white truffle extract, which leaves my skin feeling ridiculously soft and supple. No more flaky, tight skin for me - this rich face cream locks in moisture and gives me a healthy, radiant glow.

My Disappointing Experience with the D'Alba White Truffle Double Moisture Cream

summarizeEditor's Summary

I was super stoked to try the D'Alba White Truffle Double Moisture Cream, but unfortunately, it didn't quite deliver for my skin type. I've got oily, dehydrated skin with fine lines, and I was hoping for a cream that would deeply moisturize and reduce pores. Unfortunately, this cream caused breakouts and clogged pores for me. I'm sharing my full review, including pros and cons, so you can decide if it's worth a try. I've also got some tips on how to get the most out of this product, despite my disappointing experience.

My Disappointing Experience with the D'Alba White Truffle Double Moisture Cream
I've been hearing a lot about the D'Alba brand lately, and I was excited to try their products. Unfortunately, the White Truffle Double Moisture Cream didn't quite work out for me.
Along with the cream, I also ordered a spray serum, which I'll be reviewing separately soon.
In this review, I'll break down the cream's ingredients, share some detailed photos of the product and packaging, and show you how my skin looked before and after using it, so you can get an idea of how it reacted.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamFirst, I want to give you a quick rundown of my skin type. I'm 30+, and I've got some fine lines starting to show up. Since I was a teenager, I've had large pores, which have only gotten more noticeable with age. Plus, I've got some small scars from past breakouts.
My skin's oily, but it's also dehydrated. By the evening, my pores can get clogged, and I'll get blackheads and comedones. The problem is, rich moisturizers and products that restore the lipid barrier usually just weigh my skin down and make me feel greasy.
That's why I'm sharing this info – so you can get a sense of whether this cream is right for you.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamI've had issues with breakouts like this before, so I was a bit skeptical about trying this cream. To be honest, I've always struggled to find a moisturizer that doesn't clog my pores or irritate my skin. But I'd heard great things about this product, so I was willing to give it a shot.
Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out for me. If you've got skin that's super sensitive and reactive, you might find that this cream doesn't agree with you either.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamI've actually been eyeing some of D'Alba's other products, like their lip balm and hand cream. I love the scent, texture, and packaging - it all looks really high-end and luxurious. But unfortunately, their facial creams and serums just didn't work for me.
I'm a bit bummed that the brand didn't reach out to me for a review - I'd love to try out some of their other products, like their patches and hand creams. But alas, that's not in the cards.
I bought this in the Golden Apple app for 2900 rubles
It comes in a 60ml tube.
It's made in Korea.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamD'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamI've got the D'Alba White Truffle Double Moisture Cream in a tube format, which combines a serum and cream in one package. There's also a version called D'Alba White Truffle Double Serum & Cream - I think they're similar in terms of ingredients and benefits, but the tube version has a mixed formula, while the separate serum and cream are divided into two textures. Plus, they differ in size and price.
This cream consists of two parts: a hydrating serum and a nourishing cream.
Here's the ingredient list:
I have to admit, I was a bit overwhelmed by the ingredient list at first. It's like a laundry list of all sorts of stuff. But, as I started to break it down, I realized that most of these ingredients are actually pretty common and safe. I mean, you've got your humectants like glycerin and butylene glycol, your emollients like cetyl ethylhexanoate and hydrogenated polydecene, and your antioxidants like tocopherol and allantoin. And then there are the extracts – tuber magnatum, rose, jasmine, you name it. It's like a botanical garden in a bottle!
Let's dive deeper into the cream's formula. The star of the show is the White Truffle Extract, which, by the way, is even printed on the tube. This ingredient is a big deal in D'Alba's lineup, and it's known for its powerful antioxidant properties.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamBreaking down the ingredients:
I was pleased to see a solid lineup of ingredients in this cream. Niacinamide helps even out my skin tone, and Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, and Adenosine work together to calm inflammation and reduce wrinkles. Collagen Extract gives me a temporary feeling of firmness and hydration, while Xylitol, Glucose, Glycerin, and Butylene Glycol keep my skin moisturized and in balance. Plus, there are a variety of oils and floral extracts like rose, lily, jasmine, iris, and narcissus.
Breaking down the ingredients:
Niacinamide and Adenosine are both great for improving skin texture, just like in the first part. Panthenol, Allantoin, Calendula, and Centella Asiatica help soothe and calm inflammation, while Ceramide NP and Sodium Hyaluronate work to fortify the skin barrier and retain moisture. Sunflower, Almond, Soybean, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, and Bixa Orellana Oil are lightweight and nourishing oils, but they can still feel a bit rich. And, of course, there are silicones in the mix – totally normal for a modern cream.
I'd say both formulas look pretty solid. They're packed with moisturizing and anti-aging ingredients, as well as nourishing extracts. However, the formulas are a bit dense, so they might not be the best choice for skin that's prone to clogging.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture cream✍🏻Packaging:
The sleek design of the box immediately tells me it's a Korean product – they really know how to keep things simple and chic. The box has a protective sticker on top, so I know it's been sealed and not tampered with.
The tube itself is made from a dense, high-quality plastic, and the gold-colored lid looks just as sturdy. Everything about it looks sleek and well-designed - the color of the lid complements the gold letters and the D'Alba branding on the tube perfectly.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamD'ALBA white truffle double moisture cream✍🏻Texture and scent:
The nozzle on the tube has a small silicone membrane with tiny holes - when you press it, the cream comes out in a double formula. The lighter serum part comes out through one set of holes, and the thicker moisturizing cream comes out through the others. When it hits your skin, the two textures blend together seamlessly.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamFirst, let's talk about the scent. I really liked it - it feels like you're getting a high-end treatment. The aroma is pleasant, floral, with a hint of sweetness. It's not a light scent, but more like a perfume - rich, yet not overpowering. It's sweet and fresh, like a bouquet of flowers. About 5-10 minutes after application, the scent becomes barely noticeable, leaving a faint, almost imperceptible afterglow.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamThe texture of the cream is interesting. When you squeeze it out, the two parts - the cream and the serum - mix together to form a light, gel-like consistency. The cream absorbs quickly, but leaves a subtle, slightly sticky finish. It's not strong, just a gentle reminder that it's there. Over time, you can tell that it contains silicones, and the texture feels slightly silicone-y to the touch.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamNow, let's talk about the effect. After applying it, my skin didn't get oily, but I didn't feel like it was getting enough moisture. Although, I should note that my skin is naturally oily, and if I don't moisturize, it starts to shine quickly. My pores become really visible, especially in the evening, and I have to make sure to clean my face thoroughly.
After using the cream for a while, I noticed a mild irritation, and my skin around the mouth started to get red, although the greasiness didn't get worse. Within two days, I started to see some under-the-skin breakouts, and about a week later, they became inflamed.
What's interesting is that I didn't feel any film or 'trapped heat' sensation after applying it. It was more like my skin was lightly covered with a thin silicone veil, but without any heaviness.
D'ALBA white truffle double moisture creamI think this cream would be great for people who have relatively perfect skin, with no clogged pores or comedones. If your skin is smooth, clean, and silky, this cream will work beautifully as a base under makeup.
As a nighttime moisturizer, I feel like this cream might be a bit lacking, as it doesn't provide enough nourishment. It's more geared towards giving your skin a smooth, polished look, rather than deeply moisturizing it. Plus, the scent is pretty strong, so using it at night might not be ideal.
I have to admit, I was disappointed that this cream didn't work out for me. I'm used to more natural ingredients, but I wouldn't say the composition here is bad. It's actually pretty good, maybe even effective. I've had great experiences with many Korean products, and I love using them. Unfortunately, this cream just caused some inflammation, and the results weren't what I was hoping for.
I have to say, the packaging, quality, concept, and brand itself really impressed me. I was so eager to fall in love with this moisturizer, but sadly, it didn't work out. I think I'd have a much better experience with their other products, especially their hand cream and lip balm – they look super appealing, and I just want to hold them and use them.
As for this moisturizer, I'd probably repurpose it as a hand cream. It might be a bit extravagant, but in this format, it's actually really nice, and my skin feels soft and well-cared for after using it.
