Hey there!
I've been craving something crunchy lately, and for some reason, I've been in the mood for good old-fashioned crackers. I wasn't really hungry, but I wanted something baked, not a full-on pastry or a sweet treat. That's when I remembered that I had a packet of crunchy little guys hidden away in a cabinet.
It didn't take long to devour the whole thing, and I had to restock with another packet.
I always go for the ones with oatmeal when I buy them from Samokat, and this time I even managed to snag them on sale, so the pack cost me just 60 rubles.
The crackers look great. Not overcooked, no burnt edges, and no stale taste. Even though the open pack had been sitting in the cabinet for a while. They're made according to a specific recipe, have low moisture due to proper drying, and therefore don't harbor bacteria or mold.
I really like Samokat's crackers. There's not enough oatmeal for my taste, but I'm not a fan of it getting stuck in my teeth. If you like it when there's a lot of it, you might want to look elsewhere. For me, it's all good.
The ingredients list doesn't have any scary additives or flavor enhancers. The recipe is classic, but the calorie count is extremely high - 418 kcal per 100g, and my pack has 300g. So, I wouldn't recommend overindulging and would suggest portioning it out instead.
I enjoy having these as a snack with my coffee. It's amazing how filling they can be - just 6-7 of them can curb my hunger.
I've been experimenting with using these as a base for some really tasty and creative snacks. Like stuffed 'bird's nests' - you just fill the center of a softened cracker with meat, onion, and a bit of mayo, top with grated cheese, and bake in the oven. It's like a mini pizza!
Or you can wrap them in bacon and bake until crispy - the sweetness of the cracker pairs perfectly with the savory flavor of the bacon. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can try making 'beer snacks' by pan-frying the crackers in garlic butter or paprika. Or, if you're in a rush, you can make a quick 'bagel in 5' by filling the center with cream cheese and a slice of salmon.
One package of these crackers is like a treasure trove of snack ideas - and I think they're seriously underrated. Even people who haven't thought about them in years will start to remember them when they have kids. For kids, these crackers or breadsticks are the ultimate snack and lifesaver during teething.
And, funnily enough, these crackers have also become a huge trend in home decor this holiday season. I've seen people use them to make all sorts of creative decorations - from earring ornaments to photo booth props. I have to admit, I was tempted to try making some decorations myself, but I'm not sure how long they'd last!
While I'm still enjoying these crackers, I'm more than happy to sing their praises! They have so many benefits over fresh-baked bread - from improving digestion to preserving vitamins. Plus, they're a great snack to take on-the-go.
So, in short, I highly recommend these crackers to everyone!
The value for money is definitely there, especially considering the price point. I mean, you get a solid device that's easy to use and looks great on your desk. The customer support team is also super responsive, which is a big plus in my book. I had a minor issue with the return policy, but it was resolved quickly and hassle-free. The battery life is another standout feature - I was able to go a whole week without needing to recharge it. That's impressive, if you ask me. All in all, I'm really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable product.
