In this review, I'll share my honest experience with this medication, including its effects, how quickly it works, and how well animals tolerate it.

Packaging

In the pack, there are 2 blisters with 10 tablets each (a total of 20 pieces). The tablets are small, have a notch in the middle, and are yellow in color. I couldn't tell you about the taste, as I didn't take them myself – there's no aroma.

How to Give Kornam to Your Cat

Our vet prescribed 1/4 of a tablet, taken twice a day. The tablet has a single score in the middle, making it easy to divide into four parts without any issues.

I have to admit, getting my cat to take the Corbam supplement was a bit of a challenge. I'd mix a small piece of it into his wet food, but he'd often leave the yellow quarter behind and just eat the rest of the meal. So, I started wrapping a quarter of the tablet in a small piece of cream cheese, and he'd gobble it right up without even noticing the supplement. I even tried hiding it inside a piece of sausage, and he'd eat that without a problem.

As I mentioned earlier, Corbam is meant to help alleviate muscle spasms in cats. We were also advised to have our cat's urine tested, but collecting it was a bit of a nightmare since he was peeing frequently and in small amounts. That's where Corbam came in – it was supposed to help him go more comfortably and reduce the frequency of his trips to the litter box within a few days.

And that's exactly what happened. After about 4-5 days, I was able to collect almost 15ml of urine without any issues. By that time, my cat was still peeing with blood, but at least he wasn't straining as much.

Corbam instructionsAs for the cystitis that our vet had diagnosed, we'd been trying various treatments – urine tests, ultrasounds, and antibiotics – but nothing seemed to be working. The blood in his urine would sometimes disappear for a week, only to come back again. It was frustrating, to say the least.The only treatment that really seemed to make a difference was Corbam + gabapentin. After that, we switched his food to a urinary health formula (Hill's Urinary c/d), and everything seemed to get back on track.However, about six months later, the cystitis came back, and we're currently taking him in for another round of tests. Thankfully, we haven't had to give him Corbam again, since he's not experiencing any frequent urination issues at the moment.

Korcam instructions I'd say the Korcam definitely helps with the main issue - relieving spasms and making my cat's life more comfortable, but it doesn't actually treat the underlying condition (we had to get a diagnosis and put our cat on a special diet, which helped temporarily).

There were no side effects. My vet says they often prescribe Korcam for long-term use (even up to a lifetime prescription) and cats seem to handle it just fine. Stopping the medication was a breeze.

The only downside is that there are currently some issues with shipping, and I've had trouble finding Korcam (and its pricier alternatives) at local pharmacies, but you can order it online (just be prepared to jump through some hoops to get a prescription again).
