I'm sharing my experience with Coffee Brüt, a local cafe chain with three branches in the city. I visited the one on Lenin Street 57A, located in the central market.

All three branches are in the city center, so they're super popular. Be sure to book a table on weekends, or you might not get in. Weekday reservations aren't necessary, but it's always a good idea to check ahead of time. You can easily spot the cafe from the street, thanks to its eye-catching design and bright colors.
My friends and I decided to celebrate one of our birthdays here. Let's just say the first thing that stood out to me was the affordable prices. Coffee Brüt is a great spot for a group celebration – you can easily treat a big group without breaking the bank. I'll definitely keep this cafe in mind for future celebrations – it won't be a budget-buster, even when you're paying for everyone else. Plus, the food is amazing and really original. I'd even go so far as to say 'gourmet.' The prices are comparable to fast food or cafeteria food, but the quality is way better. Check out the menu for yourself – it's a few pages long, and the staff is happy to help you navigate it.

Lots of people came in and couldn't find a seat, but they still had something to look forward to - they can grab sandwiches, salads, and hot food to go. And, of course, it's a coffee shop, so they've got all sorts of coffee options to choose from, and that's what brings most people here. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, making it a great spot to meet up with friends or colleagues.

I was really impressed with the drinks menu. The hot chocolate with pistachio powder was a standout – it had this amazing pistachio flavor that complemented the rich, velvety chocolate. It's a warming and memorable drink. The coffee itself is made from high-quality beans, and you can taste the difference.

For food, we had some salads and snacks – like this amazing green salad with arugula and salmon. It came with two toasted breads and a delicious cream cheese spread. The portion sizes are generous, and the food is made fresh in-house.

The baked Camembert with spices, pea shoots, and toasted bread with a bit of jam was a real showstopper. And the inside of the cheese was so smooth and flavorful. The Camembert is baked to perfection, and it's a must-try.

We also ordered chicken skewers wrapped in bacon, served with boiled potatoes in the skin and sauces. The skewers were cooked to perfection, and the flavors were amazing. We also had a deliciously tender duck, served with a side of potatoes. And the portion size was just right - we all got a taste of everything.

City cafe 'Coffee Brüt', quesadillaWe didn't drink any alcohol, but our meal with all the dishes and drinks I showed in this review set my friend back around 3,400 rubles. The prices are very reasonable, considering the quality of the food and drinks.
City cafe 'Coffee Brüt', receiptOne thing I didn't like was the noise level - the tables are pretty close together, and it's always packed, so there's a constant background hum. But with food this good, I'm willing to overlook that. The service is top-notch, and the staff are friendly and attentive.
City cafe 'Brut Coffee', view from outside I wouldn't give less than 5 stars because the kitchen at 'Brut Coffee' is top-notch, prices are reasonable, and the service is up to par.Update 2025: One drizzly April morning, I was running late for a crucial business meeting. I overcompensated and arrived super early, so I decided to pop into 'Brut Coffee' for a coffee. I settled in by the window overlooking the city hall on 1st of May Street. The coffee shop was quiet, and I was able to get a seat by the window. I ordered the iced raf with salted caramel, which was highly recommended in the comments. It's a really tasty coffee with a thick creamy head and a design on top.

The pastry is light and airy. I paid 388 rubles. The service was quick and efficient, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
