I was skeptical about trying this cream, but now I'm a believer!
I picked it up from a friend who recommended it for my pesky dark spots.
I'm partly to blame for their appearance – I used to love soaking up the sun without protection.
I decided to give it a shot, and after using it for a bit, I figured I'd write a review – initially with a healthy dose of skepticism, but after comparing some before-and-after photos, I'm actually feeling pretty positive about it.
So here's the lowdown:
Clearwin (Ayurvedic) cream for removing scars and dark spots.
A bit of background info, as always.
Country of origin: Russia, Weight: 25g, Product direction: cream for removing scars, stretch marks, and dark spots, Price: 150-200 rubles, depending on where you buy it, Where to buy: at pharmacies in the city, for example at Magnit Pharmacy.
Packaging, design, and functionality.
The cream comes in a pretty basic cardboard box.
Clearwin (Ayurvedic) cream for removing scars and dark spotsOn the back of the box, you'll find all the necessary info about the ingredients, expiration date, and manufacturer.
Clearwin (Ayurvedic) cream for removing scars and dark spotsThe packaging also includes an instruction manual – which, to be honest, feels more like a promotional brochure than actual guidance. I'm guessing it's mostly just marketing material.Expiration date.
Two years from the date of manufacture.
The cream tube itself is pretty standard – just a regular plastic container.
tube On the back of the packaging, you'll find all the info from the cardboard box duplicated.
foil membrane The nozzle on the tube is a decent size, and it's easy to get the product out.
Let's be real – the design and functionality are pretty basic, but hey, as long as the cream works, I'm not complaining.
How long does the product last?
I used the cream for over a month – roughly a month and 10 days.
I was using it sparingly, too.
Smell, color, consistency.
The cream smells... like cream.
It's a familiar scent, kind of like the ones from childhood. The smell is gentle and doesn't get in the way of using the product.
The color is a pale pink, but it looks white on the skin.
on my hand The consistency is thick.
It's similar to a rich, nourishing night cream.
It spreads okay, but it takes a while to absorb.
If you don't massage it into your skin, it'll just sit there as a creamy blob for ages.
One thing that did impress me was that this cream isn't greasy or sticky.
Ingredients.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of these kinds of ingredient lists.
All these fancy-schmancy names mean nothing to me.
Marigold; Emblica officinalis; Common air; Lodhra; Turmeric; Heart-leaved moonseed; Kaiphal; Aloe vera; Beeswax; Holy basil; Gum arabic; Cream base.
Product description and manufacturer's promises.
Clearwin is an ayurvedic product that contains plant extracts and natural antioxidants, along with natural Vitamin E and other components. It deeply affects the skin, keeping it elastic and preventing excessive melanin formation. Clearwin breaks down the spot from the inside, improves skin cell breathing, and promotes their renewal. The micro-components of plants in the cream improve blood circulation, thereby preventing dark circles under the eyes. Clearwin improves skin tone and reduces pigmentation. The cream nourishes the upper layers of the epidermis with moisture, softens, and restores the skin's water balance. It allows for regulating and slowing down melanin formation in the epidermis. Clearwin is used for the prevention and correction of stretch marks. Oils and moisturizing agents have been added to the product to make the skin feel soft, smooth, and silky. In other words, these substances are used to maintain the water balance in the upper layers of the skin. And, since Clearwin is based on plants, it has no side effects whatsoever.
What I'm expecting from this product.
Honestly, this cream is presented in such a rosy light that it makes me wonder if it's from a parallel universe.
And when it comes to my skin, it takes care of it and brightens everything up, and the scars will fade away, and it will remove freckles like a rubber eraser.
But what I need from the cream is:
To remove pigmentation spots. And be without critical side effects.Well, if it can also brighten up dark circles under the eyes, then the price is irrelevant.
About me.
I got pigmentation spots on my skin due to general stupidity.
I mean, I used to love sticking my face under the sun's finger, not thinking about the consequences.
My face 'before'Here's a photo of my face before using the cream, taken two months ago.
My skin type is combination, with a dry T-zone, and I'm 40 years old.
My experience with the product.
As I mentioned earlier, I've been using it for a month and ten days.
How to use it.
Apply it twice a day, in the morning and before bed, to the affected areas of your skin, massaging it in thoroughly until it's fully absorbed.
For the best results, it's recommended to use 'Clearwin' daily, after applying the 'Clearwin' acne and spot treatment cleanser. The duration of use depends on your age and skin condition. In most cases, you can see positive results within 4 to 6 weeks.
For stretch marks, apply the cream to the affected areas with massaging motions until it's fully absorbed. For correcting stretch marks, it's recommended to use the cream for three months.
To be honest, applying the cream is just the first step.
You need to work it in. Think of it like this: apply and work it in for about five minutes, using firm motions, not light ones.
To be honest, it's not easy. This cream doesn't want to be absorbed or worked in!
You'll be rubbing it in, and the cream just won't budge!
Clearwin (Ayurvedic) cream for skin spots and scarsI applied it directly to the area with the pigment spots, not spreading it all over my face.
Clearwin (Ayurvedic) cream for skin spots and scarsMy thoughts on the product's quality.
I've already mentioned that this cream is a bit tricky to apply. You really need to sit down and massage it in, firmly, even aggressively. It takes some effort, and you might not even remember you applied it afterwards. I apply it after serum, before my regular skincare routine. The cream can clog pores, cause breakouts, and so on. Use it with caution if you have oily skin. If you have problem skin, it's best to avoid it altogether – it might cause more issues than it solves. My daughter applied it a few times, and then she was left with clogged pores for days. After, about a month and a half laterMy hard work wasn't for nothing. You can only see the cream's effects after about two weeks, but I saw results after a month. My under-eye skin really did lighten up. I usually get dark circles there, but now they're almost gone. The pigmentation spots didn't completely disappear, but they're about 90% lighter. I can still see them, but compared to what they used to be, it's like night and day.The cream had no effect on my scars, not even the small ones. I have a scar from a nail I stepped on at the dacha, and it's still there. It also didn't work on my freckles.I didn't experience any breakouts or side effects, but that might be because my skin is relatively problem-free. My daughter, on the other hand, got a full-on breakout.Overall, it's a good product.
It really does help with pigmentation spots on relatively normal skin. It brightens up dark areas and can be used to get rid of under-eye circles.
I didn't believe in this cream's effectiveness, but it works!
