A Lively but Not Exceptional Collection of Uplifting Stories

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm a huge fan of Chicken Soup for the Soul books, and this collection of uplifting stories about women's success and resilience did not disappoint. While it's not the most exceptional collection I've read, it's a great pick-me-up for anyone looking for a dose of positivity. I loved that the book is connected to a US women's protection organization, which adds an extra layer of meaning to the stories. The stories themselves are engaging and easy to get through, making it a great pick-up-and-put-down book. The writing style is consistent, but not particularly memorable. Overall, it's a solid choice for anyone in need of a morale boost.

I've developed a new habit lately - reading at least one Chicken Soup for the Soul story every night. With all the negativity in the world, I crave something uplifting and inspiring. These books always deliver, with sweet and heartwarming stories about people overcoming obstacles, succeeding, and sharing interesting family traditions. You can find plenty of positivity in these stories to lift your spirits. That's why I keep reading them - they boost my mood and give me a sense of comfort.
I've read many Chicken Soup for the Soul collections, but this one was particularly anticipated. I love reading stories about women's success. It's easy to get inspired and think, 'Hey, maybe I can achieve something too!'
This collection was published in support of a US women's protection organization. They help women in tough situations, and the organization's founders shared these stories with the authors to remind women that anything is possible and can be changed.
About the book
Year of publication: 2019
416 pages
Published by: BOMBARA
The heroines in this collection dance in the rain, overcome cheating partners, learn to hammer nails, and still feel wanted. They fight diseases with cats and creativity, and uncertainty with red lipstick. They give up on a whirlwind career for their kids and still become successful. These amazing, vulnerable, brave women share how they lived within boundaries set by others for years and how it felt to break free.
Chicken Soup for the Soul books are published in large format with soft covers. I really like them; they're easy to read. I think every bookshelf has at least one of these series. You'll find this one easily.
I downloaded it on Litres this time.
It took me a week of lazy reading to finish it, but it didn't impress me as much as the others. Still, some stories were new to me, and I appreciated the fresh perspective.
Some of the stories I'd read before in a women's collection, but that wasn't a big deal. I still found it worth reading.
I'd like to share a few of my favorite stories with you:
These women inspire me because they didn't give up; they fought for a better life.

Thanks for reading ♥
