Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Review: A Reliable Ride for Russian Off-Roading

summarizeEditor's Summary

I spent a week behind the wheel of the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, and I'm impressed with its comfort and features. It's a reliable ride for any Russian off-roading adventure, offering a lot of car for the price. However, I encountered some issues with build quality, fuel consumption, and the multimedia system. The crossover is capable of handling rough terrain with ease, but it's not perfect – it's got some quirks and limitations.

Hello everyone!
I'm stoked to share my hands-on experience with the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro.
Of course, nothing's perfect, and I'm here to give you the lowdown on this Chinese crossover.
Let's get started!
___________
___________
First off, I've got to say that I'm really impressed with the comfort, features, style, and value for money.
I'm not one to bash the Chinese auto industry, and I think it gets a bad rap.
Of course, like any car, there are some drawbacks – namely issues with build quality, high fuel consumption, and some quirks with the ergonomics and multimedia system.
The multimedia system is one of my pet peeves.
Visually, it's okay, but it's just not that intuitive.
The touchscreen is pretty responsive, though – I've had no issues with it.
However, connecting via Bluetooth is a whole different story – it's super slow and often takes longer than just turning on the radio.
It's not just me, either – I've heard others complain about this too.
The steering wheel controls are pretty standard – nothing too exciting.
The buttons are easy to press and don't have any issues.
After a week of use, I haven't had any complaints.
And the back seats have tons of space – it's perfect for passengers!
One of the nice touches is that the armrest can be removed, just like in most cars in this class.
The automatic transmission is a breeze to switch between modes and doesn't give me any trouble. The Chery Tiggo is a pretty accessible crossover with great equipment and a comfortable interior.
But keep in mind that some quirks with the electronics start to show up right from the get-go.
Chery Tiggo on the highway Given that I live out in the sticks in a private sector, I've had a chance to put my car to the test on dirt roads, light off-roading, snow, and mud. I really love how easy it is to get in and out of the car - it's just the right height, making my daily commutes a breeze.
Chery Tiggo 7 on the highway reviews I've also got gas-biogas equipment installed on my gasoline-powered car, which I've registered with the GIBDD in a certified service center.
This process was a bit of a hassle, but it was totally worth it.
Important note: self-installation is strictly forbidden.
Riding on gas is a total money-saver.
Yeah, it's a bit of an upfront cost, but trust me, it's worth it in the long run.
Using it solely on gasoline is way more expensive.
All in all, I'd say the Tiggo model is a great all-around option for anyone who wants to drive on both paved roads and rough terrain without sacrificing comfort and handling.
The electronics do get on my nerves after a while.
But I can fix it myself, almost in my own garage, so it's not a huge hit to my wallet or my time.
But if you don't have that option, a trip to the mechanic will be pretty stressful and frequent.
Good roads, though!
