Editor's Summary

I gotta say, I was thoroughly unimpressed with the CAGMO symphonic orchestra's performance. The price was astronomical, and the music was a total letdown. I mean, I've heard better sound quality at a Linkin Park concert. The crowd was there for the wrong reasons, and it showed in the lackluster performance.

Hello everyoneI'm talking about the CAGMO symphonic orchestra's performance today.

I have to admit, the name does sound a bit weird.

I've been hearing about them for a long time, and I thought it was strange that they were coming to perform someone else's work instead of their own.

Essentially, people are going to come because they love a particular band, not because they're actually interested in the orchestra.

What really surprised me was the price - I think a rock concert by a different band would be cheaper than this orchestra. The prices are just astronomical, even theater performances with celebrities are cheaper than this orchestra. This is their first time coming to our city, and before that, I only saw them in the neighboring big city. We had to choose between Ludovico Einaudi and Linkin Park, and we went with Linkin Park.

I have to admit, my expectations were really low. I knew it wasn't worth the money, but yeah...

Honestly, my head is still pounding and my ears are ringing after this performance. What a blast! This was just as bad as it could possibly be. I'm a huge rock fan - I listened to it nonstop throughout my teenage years. I'd go to sleep with those songs playing in my head, and rock music always calmed me down and relaxed me. But here, it's like the opposite reaction. The sound is just a cacophony that's so bad, even beautiful Linkin Park songs get lost in it.

I only liked maybe 2-3 songs, and even those weren't fully enjoyable. They were the calm ones - 'Step Up', 'May December', and 'In Ze End'. The rest was just some trashy mess of 4 violins, a terrible flute, drums, keyboards, and it was all just so loud, unharmonious, and just plain awful.

The only time I enjoyed myself was at the very beginning when I heard the first chords of my favorite songs, and at the end when they were just playing the keyboards or the violin. And it's actually really beautiful when they just play the keyboards or the violin, but when it all comes crashing together, it's just awful.

I have to admit, my head was throbbing and my ears were ringing from this awful ocarina. The girl was the only one playing it, and to be honest, most of the compositions were pretty much held together by her playing. She was basically the backbone of the whole band. But this ocarina was like it was out of tune or something, and it was just awful. It was like my ears were bleeding. Either the girl was struggling to play it or she was overplaying it. I think I only heard it sound good once, and that was in one of the slower songs I mentioned earlier, maybe 'May December' or something.

When this ocarina was playing the first verse on its own, it sounded kind of nice, but the rest of the time it was just awful. It was like the ocarina was out of tune, sometimes it was loud and sometimes it was just scraping along, it was like fingernails on a chalkboard.

It was the same with the violins. Why did they need five of them? One of them sounded nice, but five of them just sounded awful, like they were all scraping along together. It was like my ears were bleeding. I was relieved when the sound was in mono, but 80% of the time all the instruments were playing together and it was just too much, I wanted to cover my ears and leave, it was just that bad. The drums sounded great in the solo, I love the keyboards, the violin sounded nice on its own, and the flute could be nice too, but not here.

The girl was basically carrying the whole band for 1.5 hours, why did they need 100 other instruments if the ocarina was the only one holding it together? But overall, the compositions were just poorly put together, there was no beauty, no harmony, it was just a cacophony, it was awful.

During 'My Light' I even cried, I couldn't listen to that song after Chester's death, it was just too much for me, it sounded so sad, I was on edge the whole time. There were some nice moments, but they got lost in all the chaos, I just wanted to take a bunch of painkillers or drink a whole bottle of something and just go to bed, I woke up with a terrible headache and a pain in my left ear, I don't even know where I was, but it wasn't at the concert.

I've gotta say, I've never had a headache from rocking out to heavy music. Some people can't handle it, they say it gives them a headache, but I've never experienced that. For me, rock music is like a breath of fresh air - it's like my soul and body are on 200% - but this show was a total letdown. The crowd was tiny, it was summer, and it was pricey. They didn't even sell out the whole venue.

They even delayed the show, which was a first for me. We weren't let in until 10 minutes after the official start time, and when the band finally came out, they didn't even acknowledge us. The transitions between songs were super abrupt - we'd applaud, and then there'd be this awkward silence for like 5-10 seconds before they'd launch into the next song. It was like that for the whole show, which was over an hour long.

The music itself was actually really good, but they didn't play my favorite song, which was a bummer. Still, the band is super talented - each song they played was like a mini-masterpiece. I remember listening to their studio albums and being blown away by the depth and complexity of the music. It's like they're speaking a different language - one that's so beautiful, it transports you to another dimension. It's like an auditory orgasm.

At one point, I thought they were going for this epic drum solo thing, but it quickly devolved into chaos. I'm not sure what they were going for, but it was like they were trying to cram too many ideas into one song. It was like a mess of instruments and sounds, with no cohesion or harmony.

I don't get why they need so many instruments - it's like they're trying to create a cacophony rather than a cohesive sound. It's like they're speaking different languages, and it's just a mess. What they really needed was some kind of visual element to tie everything together - like a background image or something. It would've made the whole experience more engaging, rather than just watching the band play in a sea of darkness. It's like they forgot that people are visual creatures, too. Watching the music was just not my thing, you've got to listen to it, not watch it. The organ thing didn't work for me, it's just a guy sitting with his back to the audience and playing, and it was pretty meh. There were some okay parts, but it just didn't click. When rock music sounds better, more organic, and more beautiful than classical, it's interesting. I wonder if it's just because they decided to turn up the noise and instruments for the heavier music. What are the pros and cons? Pros: + I don't even know what the positives are... Maybe just the effort they put in, and the girl in the middle with the duduk, she was the main focus.

Cons: - No introduction, no speeches, they just came out, played, and left.

At least our audience was clapping, guys were whistling and shouting 'bravo', it wasn't that embarrassing.

But it felt like they didn't want to come out, they delayed the concert and left looking unhappy, like 'screw it, we're not playing in an empty hall'.

- It's boring to watch, there's no visual appeal, the candles don't add any atmosphere, imo.

- The dissonance was awful, a cacophony of violins and duduk.

- The duduk was either out of tune or not, sometimes it was way off, sometimes it was barely audible, but because of that out-of-tune duduk, I was getting a headache, honestly.

- There were way too many unnecessary instruments and violins, I love violins, they always add beauty, but here with 4 violins it was impossible to listen to.

It was literally only 2 times that the violin sounded beautiful, and that was because it was in a solo.

Overall, I didn't enjoy it at all, I'd rather go see Linkin Park in the original and take a break, but here it was just a headache and blood in my ears. It was like a screeching sound and all the other awful noises combined, music should bring you joy and soothe your ears, but here I just wanted to cover my ears and bang my head against the wall.

For such outrageous prices, I expected gold, but what I got was something really nasty and unpleasant, no enjoyment and a headache as a bonus.
