Busan Business Hotel 3*, South Korea, Busan

This 3-star hotel in the heart of Busan is a total steal - you get a great value for money without breaking the bank. I've stayed here a few times and it's always been a solid choice. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the action in the city. You can easily get to all the popular attractions and business districts, and the local culture and cuisine are just a stone's throw away. The rooms are comfy and clean, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

A Budget-Friendly Gem in Busan: Hotel Review

summarizeEditor's Summary

We were on the hunt for a budget-friendly hotel in Busan that wouldn't break the bank, and we found a real gem in the Busan Business Hotel 3*. This place exceeded our expectations in a big way, especially when it comes to its location, breakfast, and overall vibe. We were stoked to find that the hotel is within walking distance to two metro stations, making it super easy to explore the city. The breakfast spread was also amazing, with a ton of Korean and Western options to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to lend a hand or give us some solid recommendations. Plus, the hotel's neighborhood is filled with awesome cafes and restaurants, perfect for a night out or a casual meal. And let's not forget the price – it's super reasonable, especially considering its location and amenities. Of course, no hotel is perfect, and we did encounter some issues with the Wi-Fi and the quality of the towels. But overall, we'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Busan.

We were itching to explore more of South Korea beyond Seoul, and Busan was calling our names. Maybe it was the influence of movies like "Train to Busan" and "The Wavering City," but this southern city was definitely on everyone's radar.
When choosing a hotel in Busan, our top priorities were:
1. Being close to the metro.
2. Having a developed neighborhood with evening strolls.
3. Good cafes and restaurants nearby.
4. A delicious breakfast.
5. A budget-friendly price for this city.
Our top pick was the Busan Business Hotel 3*.
Where to stay in Busan - reviewThe hotel is a short walk from Seomyeon stations (lines 1 and 2 of the Busan Metro) and Buam stations (line 2 of the Busan Metro).
Front Desk.
At the front desk, they asked for our passports and gave us a room key card right away. They showed us where the elevator was, and that was it. There's no staff to help carry your luggage like you'd find in Asia or Turkey.
Budget hotel in Busan, close to the metro - review.
You can only go up to the second floor - the restaurant - by stairs (which I'd seen in all the hotel's promotional photos beforehand). To get to your room, you have to take the elevator.
Room Number
I opted for the Standard Double Room, which was a spacious 24 sq.m. The bed was right in the middle of the room.
Busan Business Hotel - hotel in Busan, reviewThe bedside tables with power outlets were conveniently located on either side of the bed.
Opposite the bed was a large writing desk. Downstairs, there was a mini fridge.
Inside one of the desk drawers, I found a kettle and tea accessories. It was a bit weird that they hid it there - I only discovered it by rummaging through the drawers.
The room had a large TV mounted opposite the bed. Unfortunately, there were no Russian channels, so we ended up watching Korean movies.
One thing that really stood out to me was the constant supply of bottled water on the table. It was always getting replenished every day.
The window was small, and since we were on the 9th floor, it was pretty grimy. I'm guessing they don't clean the windows that often.
The view from the window was of the road and the rooftops of other buildings.
The blackout curtains were a lifesaver - we couldn't see any of the neon signs from other buildings, so we slept pretty well.
What really kept us up at night, though, was the smart home system's remote control. It was lit up like a Christmas tree, with temperature controls, cleaning schedules, and light switches all glowing away. We even tried sticking Post-It notes over the display just to block out the light.
Another thing that took some getting used to was the bathroom situation. In South Korea, it's not uncommon for the sink to be located in the hallway or even in the room itself, but not in the bathroom. It was a bit of an adjustment for us.
I was surprised to find that Koreans take their eco-friendliness seriously, so you won't find any disposable toothbrushes or other hygiene products here - just soap.
Bathroom.
The first thing that caught my eye was the smart toilet, which not only cleans itself but also heats the seat to a comfortable temperature. Plus, there are all sorts of water features around the edges.
The shower cubicle was a decent size. The overhead showerhead was big and the water pressure was great, making it easy to wash my hair.
Restaurant.
The restaurant was a massive space. When I entered, they even took note of my room number, so I wouldn't be able to grab breakfast twice.
Along the wall was a huge table with all sorts of dishes laid out.
I really enjoyed every meal here - it's a classic European-style kitchen.
No weird or exotic foods that you wouldn't typically find at a Russian breakfast - just solid, comforting options.
They had a few hot dishes and some salads to choose from.
And yes, even oatmeal was on the menu.
There were some fresh fruits and veggies to round things out.
As soon as one plate was cleared, they'd bring out a new one - it was like they knew exactly when to refill.
Each day, we got to choose from a different selection of dishes.
Despite the fact that our daily meals didn't change, everything tasted great and didn't get old.
I gradually tried out some unusual products.
If you arrive for breakfast at 7:30 am, you can eat alone.
What's nearby the hotel.
To the right when you exit the hotel, there's a 7/11 store where we immediately bought our transportation cards, which work for both the metro and buses all over South Korea.
For dinner, we went to Galbi Gotgan, where we tried to grill our own dinner.
In one of the buildings, we later found a pub in the basement where we had European beer, which turned out to be ridiculously expensive.
We also took the metro to Haeundae Beach, where Koreans love to relax during the summer.
Haeundae Beach reviewBut what really blew me away about Busan was the cultural village of Camchon. In late March, the cherry blossoms were just starting to bloom, and it was absolutely stunning.
My takeaways.
The hotel is located on a quiet street, just a 7-10 minute walk from the metro. There's a bus stop nearby, as well as a Lotte shopping center, 7/11, CU, cafes, and restaurants.
The room is on the smaller side, but it's clean and has a carpeted floor. The blackout curtains made it easy to sleep. I was surprised to find the sink right in the room, rather than in the bathroom, but after traveling around South Korea, I got used to it.
The bathroom has a high-tech toilet with heated seating and various functions, plus an automatic flush.
Breakfast was delicious every day. There was always a hot dish of the day, along with some staples. I loved everything they served, so I ended up eating it all.
There were plenty of tables in the restaurant, so we never had to wait for a seat.
I'm really happy with my stay at the Busan Business Hotel. I'm glad I chose it.
