Don Valley Broccoli Puree

I'm a big fan of this puree - it's a total lifesaver on busy days. Made with super fresh broccoli from the Don Valley region, it's a great way to get your daily dose of veggies without slaving away in the kitchen. Just heat it up and serve, or use it as a base for a quick meal or snack. It's honestly one of the simplest ways to eat healthy, and I love that it's made with real ingredients.

My Quest for the Perfect Puree: A Mixed Bag with Broccoli Puree

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm on a mission to find the best purees for my little one, and the Broccoli Puree from Sadovaya Priдонья is a decent option, but it's not without its flaws. The ingredients are simple – just broccoli puree – but that's also a bit of a letdown. I used it for a week, and the build quality is solid, but the battery life is just okay. It's worth every penny, but only if you're willing to overlook some minor issues. I'd recommend it for kids from 4 months and up, but don't expect it to be a game changer. It's a solid choice, but not the best.

I've been on the hunt for the ultimate puree for my little one, and today I'm sharing my thoughts on the Broccoli Puree from Sadovaya Priдонья.
Getting back to weaning basics
At this point, my kid's a year old, and we're moving away from store-bought purees. We usually opt for other brands, but my dad decided to stock up on this one, and we just couldn't finish it all.Where to buy: I'd stick to kids' stores like Detskiy Mir or pharmacies. I wouldn't risk buying from other places.
Price: You can expect to pay around 32-45 rubles.
Age range: Suitable for kids from 4 months.
Ingredients:
Just broccoli puree.
Packaging comes with a screw-top lid.
✅ Don't forget to check each jar before serving your kid – look for any signs of tampering and give it a sniff.
Now, let's get to the review.
Composition is decent, with only broccoli puree in the mix. However, each jar seems to have a weird clump (feels like they added some kind of thickener – maybe starch?) and some liquid separates out.
This is what it looks like after I mixed it up. Value for money is a definite plus.
Taste is a bit mixed – one jar was slightly bitter, while the other was sweet. It's definitely broccoli, but it's got a weird aftertaste.
My kid sometimes rejects it, but only if I serve it on its own – mixing it with some meat seems to do the trick.
Gas and bloating have been a real issue after this puree.
So, the verdict: it's a decent puree, but there are some quirks that make me hesitant to buy it again. I'm giving it 4 stars.
I still had 5 jars left, so I decided to get creative and make some kid-friendly pancakes using the puree.
Recipe:
💚 200-300g broccoli puree
💚 2 eggs
💚 100g cottage cheese or Greek yogurt
💚 5 tablespoons (heaped) of green pea flour or all-purpose flour
Bake in a waffle iron until golden brown.
Wishing all you little ones good health!
