I've tried a ton of probiotics with my family, and when you've got little ones, you need these kinds of products on hand at all times. I've been familiar with Bifiform for ages - I used to only buy this brand back in the day. Today, I want to share my experience with Bifiform, both for myself and my kids.

Price and Where to Buy
You can find it in most pharmacies. The last time I bought it was at Sberapteka with a discount, and it cost me around 200 rubles. When I started monitoring, I found that it was only available in 30 or 15 capsule packs, although I'm sure it was on sale in December. So, here are a few examples of where you can buy a 30-capsule pack and the price as of February 2024:

At Zdorovsiti online pharmacy - 896 rubles.
At Vita pharmacy via online order - 894 rubles.

Packaging / Organoleptics
The packaging is a cardboard box in red and white colors. The box has a tamper-evident seal: it's stuck with a transparent sticker from both sides.
Bifiform Inside the box, you'll find a metal tube with a plastic lid. The lid has a child-resistant feature - a plastic ring that detaches when you try to open it. To be honest, I found the lid a bit too tight, and it took some effort to pry it open.
Bifiform The tube is only about half full of capsules. Each capsule is small, with a gelatinous coating that's surprisingly hard.

The instruction manual is straightforward and compact. It looks something like this:

Bifiform In our case, the doctor prescribed it for kids with flu-like symptoms accompanied by stomach pain. I take it mainly when I'm on antibiotics.
As for contraindications, I'd say there aren't any, but it's always a good idea to check for any component sensitivities.

I can use it even during pregnancy.

APPLICATION / DOSAGE / RESULTS
Similar products can be used in many cases.
When I take it myself, I get 1 capsule 3 times a day with meals. I usually start taking it after a course of antibiotics to restore the gut microbiome. It works great!
When giving it to kids, they get 1 capsule 2 times a day with meals. Since little kids have trouble swallowing, and I'm worried they might choke on the capsule, I have to open it. That's where the problems come in: the capsule isn't very suitable for opening, it breaks easily, and some of the contents might spill out.
BififormI also give it to kids when they start getting sick, since gut health is everything. Maybe it's just a placebo effect, but even if it is, the duration of colds and flu really does seem to decrease.
If my kid starts getting a stomachache, I give them a Bifiform capsule right away.

REACTION
I didn't experience any allergic reactions to the product, neither did my kids: no itching, no rashes.

SUMMARY AND COMPARISON
So what's the final verdict? I really like this product. It doesn't need to be refrigerated, so it's easy to take on the go. It works well, but for an adult, you need 3 capsules a day, which means a pack of 40 will last around 13 days, and for kids, it'll last 20. Plus, the capsule isn't designed to be opened. Still, it's more convenient to take a product that only requires 1 capsule a day.
Still, I'm leaning towards using Bak-set, but every product has its pros and cons. I'll write a bit about the comparison:
We often use Bak-set forte, and the plus side is that it has 14 strains of beneficial bacteria, whereas Bifiform only has 2;
I've gotta say, one thing that really sets Bifiform apart is the presence of enterococcus, which is a game-changer when it comes to addressing issues in the small intestine.
Bifiform is a medication, whereas Bak-set Forte is a dietary supplement.
Another thing that's worth noting is that Bak-set Forte can be taken once a day, whereas Bifiform requires 2-3 doses per day.
Considering the dosage and price, Bak-set Forte actually ends up being cheaper.
Of course, everyone's got their own preferences and goals, but I'd definitely recommend giving it a try – after all, you can't truly know what works until you compare it to something else.
