Editor's Summary
I'm still fuming about our recent trip to Cyprus with Bibliо-Globus. We booked a 7-day package deal, expecting a smooth and hassle-free experience, but things quickly took a turn for the worse. The flight was delayed, and when we finally arrived, we were left to figure things out on our own. The tour guide showed up late, and it took an hour to gather everyone and get to the bus. The whole experience was a total letdown.

I was hoping to write a review after the trip, but the feeling of being wronged and having a ruined vacation still lingers. We booked a 7-day trip to Cyprus with Bibliо-Globus, a well-known tour operator, so I expected everything to go smoothly.
The flight was scheduled for 5 am from a convenient airport, with a direct flight to Larnaca. We flew with Russia airlines on a big 747 Boeing, which was really comfortable, but ridiculously crowded.
Bibliо-Globus Tour OperatorThe flight was a bit delayed, but it wasn't a big deal. We landed, and I was expecting to be greeted with a warm welcome, but instead, we were left to figure things out on our own. The tour guide showed up and told us how to get to the bus that would take us to our hotel, but it took about an hour to gather everyone, and some people were missing from the passport control.
The bus ride from the airport to our hotel took 40 minutes, and there were exactly as many seats as there were people, so it was a bit of a tight squeeze. The tour guide was trying to sell us water and asking for tips for the driver, but it was a bit annoying.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a smiling girl who told us that there were no rooms available and that we wouldn't be able to check in. No rooms available in the hotel that we booked through our tour operator? It was a bit of a shock.
I paid for the trip, I chose the hotel, and I was expecting to have a good time, but instead, I was being told that I had to move to a different hotel. The new hotel was supposed to be better, but I didn't want to change hotels, especially since I had chosen the original one for a reason. And to make matters worse, the new hotel was 30,000 rubles cheaper per night, which is a significant amount of money.
The conditions were ridiculous - we would have to live in the new hotel for 3 days and then move back to the original hotel for the remaining 4 days. It was a bit of a hassle, and I was not looking forward to it.
We called our guide before agreeing to anything and explained the situation, and they just shrugged it off, saying 'oh, yeah, that happens.' So, we went with it, and it turned out to be a decent solution.
Not much else we could do, right?
The hotel organized a transfer for us to another one, where we were checked in an hour before the scheduled time. They had their own guide from the tour operator, and when we approached her, she told us that situations like this happen all the time and it's totally normal.
Biblio-Globus Tour OperatorInstead of the first line, we got the 'most famous' and loudest beach, right across the road, where cars, buses with tourists, and quad bikes are constantly driving by. To get to the pedestrian crossing, we had to walk around 200 meters and then again, but in the opposite direction.
Biblio-Globus Tour OperatorThe next day, we had a meeting with the guide at another hotel, where we were supposed to stay. But nobody paid for our transfer, so we had to figure it out ourselves. When we arrived, instead of solving our problems and answering our questions, they started pushing a bunch of excursions on us, talking over us and saying 'yeah, now...' Then they just dismissed us and never answered our questions.
Three days went by, and we finally checked into our hotel without any issues. The rest of our stay was great, and we were happy with the hotel.
Biblio-Globus Tour OperatorWhen we were leaving in the bus, there wasn't enough space, and not everyone got to sit. The ride was over 40 minutes long, but after that, we didn't have any issues. We made our flight on time, and the flight itself was great. After realizing that the tour operator couldn't even coordinate with the hotel, I lost any interest in using their services. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Thanks for reading, and I hope this review was helpful.
