Izmailovo Alpha 4*, Russia, Moscow

I've been to some cool places in my travels, but Izmailovo Alpha 4* in Moscow, Russia, really stands out. This place has got history, culture, and hospitality pouring out of every corner. You'll find world-class museums, bustling markets, and plenty of other things to see and do. Whether you're into history, food, or adventure, there's something for everyone here.

Decent Stay at Beta Hotel, But a Few Hiccups

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've stayed in my fair share of hotels in Moscow, but my experience at Beta Hotel was a mixed bag. The hotel's proximity to the metro and the abundance of shops and cafes nearby were definite pluses. However, the initial room rebooking debacle left a sour taste. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but the lack of clear communication from the hotel staff was frustrating. All in all, it's an okay choice, but not without its hiccups.

I've stayed in my fair share of hotels in Moscow, but this time I chose Beta Hotel. We booked the Comfort Plus room through the official representative in Beta, and we arrived on time. However, things took a turn when we headed to the Business Hotel Group reception desk, which is located to the left of the reception area in the hotel. The woman at the desk told us, 'Oh, you've been rebooked to Alpha because a group of people didn't check out of their room in Beta.'
The woman, who was representing the official booking website, apologized and explained that we'd have to pay a bit extra. So, we ended up in Alpha.
Alpha BodySide entrance The entrance group is pretty unassuming. ReceptionThe reception area is simple, but clean and the girls are friendly. We got checked in right away. Although we arrived a bit early, we asked for a specific room view and floor. The view from our 25th-floor room of the Izmailovo Kremlin is just stunning! You can even see the nearby lake.
The Wi-Fi worked great.
The room was a standard comfort room with a conditioner hanging over the entrance door,
RoomThe room was clean, with excellent, high, dense, independent mattresses, plush pillows, thick blankets, and crisp white bed linen. The bathrobes were fluffy, and there were slippers, toiletries, a hair dryer, and four towels per person.
The room had a fridge, conditioner, TV, and a mini safe.
The carpet smell was still present on the floor.
Lobby Bar The Lobby Bar was located on the first floor, right next to the lounge area in the foyer, and it wasn't separated from the rest of the space. I wasn't a fan. It felt awkward. The waiters were running around like headless chickens, and we had to wait ages for our food to be prepared and even longer for the bill to be settled. We ended up eating there anyway. The food was actually pretty good. Dinner at the Lobby Bar In the foyer, there's a grand piano that's occasionally played by a musician, and some really comfy chairs for people to relax in.
The restaurant on the second floor was a buffet-style dinner, which we prepaid for when we checked in. It was actually cheaper than paying at the restaurant.
Restaurant The food is simple, but varied and super tasty!
Cleaning in the rooms is done daily.
I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
