A Great Find: Belita's BB Cream InstaEffect

I'll admit, I've been out of the loop when it comes to Belita's latest releases. It's been over a decade since I last bought something from their collection, although I used to be a fan. But then I saw this adorable little tube, and I just had to have it. The design reminds me of their best-selling bb-cream, Belita young photoshop-effect, but this time they promise an Instagram effect. Nostalgia. I remember when the Photoshop tubes were all the rage back in the day. They were only 100 rubles (about the price of a cup of coffee), but now they want 500 rubles for the Instagram effect. It seems like their appetites have grown, but I'll let it slide.

Packaging and Features The tube is adorable. It's this pastel pink, smooth, and sleek design, like a pebble or a bar of soap. It's really pleasant to touch, almost like rubber. I love the design, and I get a kick out of the visuals and the tactile experience. But, I noticed that this trend is all the rage now, and Influence beauty has similar tubes, and even Relyu released a tonal cream in a similar design recently.

There's no special protection on the tube, but when I first opened it, I could see that the nozzle was clean and hadn't been used before. The nozzle is long and transparent, and you need to press the tube firmly to get the cream out. As you get closer to the end, this might become a problem, but at least nothing spills out on its own, and the lid stays clean and tidy.

Application and Daytime Performance The cream has a medium consistency, and it's easy to apply and spread with my fingers. I don't see the need to use a brush or a sponge. It doesn't cake or settle into my pores, and it leaves a smooth, satin finish. It sits perfectly on my skin, doesn't accentuate wrinkles, and doesn't get all clogged up throughout the day. It doesn't creep down my face, doesn't slide off, and doesn't leave any unsightly stains.

It applies beautifully on both bare skin and over daytime moisturizer, and it doesn't affect my skin's natural oiliness. Within four hours, I'll still get a greasy shine, but that's just a fact of life with oily skin. It does show up on camera, though, and it's a bit of a letdown. With makeup remover, it comes off relatively easily, but it's not the most convenient product to use.

Tone is actually quite universal, a beige without any yellow, pink, or blue undertones. It oxidizes minimally. The color doesn't really adjust to my skin tone; instead, it blends in with it due to its medium density and pigmentation. It provides a very light, semi-transparent coverage.

If my skin tone is just a bit uneven, the cream will even it out. However, more noticeable flaws like acne or dark spots will still show through. I'm lucky, though, as I only need to even out my skin tone a bit, and this product does the trick. The cream does have a slight effect, though - it slightly softens focus and adds a subtle glow to my skin. I think that's what they meant by 'Instagram effect.' My skin tone looks more even and corrected, but it's not a mask-like finish. The coverage is very natural-looking and alive.

The cream is comfortable to wear, even on bare skin, and it provides decent moisturization without drying out my skin under my eyes. I can confidently apply it to that area.

I have sensitive skin, and I'm happy to report that this product didn't cause any irritation. It doesn't clog pores, provoke acne, or leave a sticky residue.

Volume is 35g. The usage rate is average, and I found that the tube lasts around 1.5 to 2 months with daily use. The price ranges around 500 rubles. I first saw it in a store for 530, and I double-checked on marketplaces to make sure it wasn't a mistake. I ended up buying it in my favorite store for 465, and I think it's a bit pricey for Belita.
