Hello everyone who's made it to my review!
I decided to go all out and cook gourmet meals for my loved ones every day during the long winter holidays. And since it takes a lot of time to prepare them, I'd constantly have something playing in the background. First, I rewatched some Soviet movies I'd been meaning to see for ages, and then I finally got around to watching Dzhigan - I'm not even sure how I managed to avoid it this long. But while I was making dumplings, I ended up watching four episodes of the show back-to-back. Oksana and Denis kept me hooked, and I found myself switching between episodes voluntarily.
I used to love watching the Osbourne family and Paris Hilton's simple life back in the day. And Being Dzhigan and Oksana is right up there with those.
The show's format involves showing viewers the everyday life of Dzhigan and Oksana Samoilova's family - if you can even call it that.
As of the time I'm writing this review (January 8th, 2026), there are five episodes available for free viewing on VK video.
Episode length:
Each episode is around an hour long, give or take a bit. There's no set timing, and some episodes are 1 hour 20 minutes, while others are just an hour.
Where to watch:
The episodes are exclusively released on Contact every Friday starting from December 5th, 2025.
Age restrictions:18+
I've got to admit, this show isn't for kids. The language is pretty raw, and you'll catch some profanity from the mouths of Oksana and Jigga. Plus, there's some booze and tobacco thrown in for good measure. So, if you're watching with the little ones, you won't be seeing the star couple's wild side!
Show premise:The show kicks off with Oksana driving to court to file for divorce, ring finger bare and all. She's also giving some comments to the press along the way.
Then, things take a four-month flash-back, and we see the 'happy' family having breakfast and showing off their cozy little nest to the cameras.
But what made Oksana want to break free from her rapper husband, who's also the father of her four adorable kids?
I have to say, each episode of this show gives us a little glimpse into Oksana's life, and she's not afraid to share her frustrations with her husband. She's the one who's always carrying the load - the kids, the relatives, the household chores, the income, the farm... it's a long list. Meanwhile, her husband seems to be MIA, and Oksana's always complaining about him.
I have to admit, I was hooked from the very first minute, so I kept watching the first episode. The setup worked for me.
1. Oksana Samoilova - the real star of the show.
The project would have been called 'Being Oksana and Jigga' instead of the other way around.
Oksana's the one who's really carrying the show, while Jigga's just along for the ride, singing backup. He's like the Red-Haired One from Ivanushki, who only speaks a few words throughout the whole song
I love how Oksana's portrayed - strong, independent, and capable of handling everything on her own. She's the one who's managing the kids, earning a living, paying for the relatives' trips, growing tomatoes, and building a farm, all while her husband is busy playing video games and pushing the couch.
She's like a high-priced horse who's struggling to carry her load. There's only so much she can take before she decides to ditch the extra baggage - namely, her husband.
I have to admit, I had a pretty different image of Oxana in my head. I thought she'd be sipping champagne with strawberries on private jets and shopping 'til she dropped. I didn't follow her 'Nelzyagram' and had no idea what kind of content she was creating.
But what really surprised me was that Oxana loves gardening and is actually drawn to the earth. She introduced us to a whole new side of herself that I, and probably others like me, had never even considered. Of course, she's got a team of helpers who take care of the gardening and the animals.
I loved how she connected with her kids. I'm not sure what happens when the cameras stop rolling, but in the footage, she's a great mom who's interested in her kids' lives, tries to have deep conversations with them, and spends quality time with them.
It's fascinating to watch her build a relationship with her older daughter, who's going through a tough teenage phase.
She loves animals.
I'm still not sure what happened to the poor goat that sadly passed away. Maybe it was just a tragic accident or maybe they overfed it. Either way, it's a shame.
We'll be keeping an eye on the new furry additions to the family.
I have to say, Oksana didn't exactly win me over, even with her constant 'ya-ya'ing.
She seemed a bit burnt out.
I think she needs a serious break - a trip to a spa, away from her husband, kids, and phone, where she can focus on work and social media content creation without any distractions.
2. Jigal, aka Denis.
Oksana's husband, a well-known rapper.
I'm not a fan of his music, but he comes across as a good, kind, and harmless guy. The key word is 'comes across' - I'm not sure what's really going on behind the scenes.
From what I've observed of his daily life:
1) He's a big sleeper - he likes to hit the snooze button until lunchtime.
2) He spends up to six hours a day on the exercise bike.
For the rest of the time, he's either writing music, comfortably settled on the couch, or heading to his brothers' studio.
4) Honestly, he spends most of his time with the family, but it feels like a setup most of the time.
Initially, I thought he barely interacted with the kids. I'm not sure if the project was what got him excited or if Oksana just gave him a nudge, but by the middle of the project, he started showing more interest in them.
He's a calm and balanced guy, and I loved that he didn't say a single bad word about his wife!
Again, I'm not sure how things are in their family without cameras, but in the footage, he's showering her with gifts, going where she planned, and hanging out with her relatives without any issues. By the way, I've never seen any relatives of his in the family outings.
It seems like he's already messed up so much before the project that no gifts can help him repair his relationship with his wife. Can he take more responsibility for the family and take some load off Oksana? We'll see.
3) Oksana and Jigga's older daughter - Ariela.
She's not a fan of all this public attention and the extra scrutiny on her personal life.
She looks like a pretty unemotional, calm, and even a bit cold girl. But it seems like she's already gotten through the toughest part of her teenage years.
4) Lea, the second-born daughter of Oksana and Denis.
She's a super energetic and lively kid. She's always on the go, spinning around in front of the camera without any hesitation at all.
I think she got her love for animals from her mom.
5) Maya, the third-born daughter of Oksana and Denis.
Wow, she's just stunning!
She's not often shown, and she doesn't comment on much either.
6) David, the youngest child of Oksana and Jigga.
I'm glad they decided to go for a fourth! He's just adorable.
He's already helping out his mom and getting along great with his sisters. And have you seen those eyes?!
I have to say, the way Maya interacts with the crew is a big plus.
Locations:
Of course, Oxana and Jigga's family will give us a tour of their luxurious countryside home, where each family member has their own private room.
Oxana's wardrobe is going to be bigger than all four kids' rooms combined - that's what happens when you're a celebrity. I mean, try going out in public in the same outfit twice and see how long it takes for people to start laughing at you.
We'll have plenty of metalwork thanks to Denis.
We'll have plenty of gardens and a farm thanks to Oxana.
Spending time with the family is just as important, and I've had a blast walking on the carpeted paths, attending concerts, and all that jazz.
Oksana and Denis's family trips are always a highlight, and I'm excited to see where they'll go next.
Let's just say I won't be spoiling the destination for you.
The one thing that's really bugged me is the overbearing ads for Ozon, which take up way too much of each episode.
Want to order from Ozon? Click here!I've had it with the product recommendations on Ozon. I mean, you can't even buy toys for your kids without seeing their ads.
I'm not going to write any more, or I'll end up writing a sales pitch for the marketplace instead of a review
MY TAKEAWAY
I binge-watched all five episodes in one go. Each series is well-paced, packed with events and emotions. And with each new episode, Oksana's revelations about her future relationship with Denis keep getting more and more intense. Will the star couple eventually break up or find a way to make it work? Or are they just milking this drama for attention? We'll just have to wait and see. Time will tell.
That's all from me.
Thanks for reading the review!
