Editor's Summary
We booked a tour with Pegasus that included lunch, a visit to the BaiyokeSky observation deck, and even a stop at an oceanarium. The highlight was the rotating observation deck on the 84th floor, which offered breathtaking views of the city. While the elevators were a bit of a challenge, the experience was well worth it. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique perspective on Bangkok.

I'd been itching to write about the rotating observation deck at BaiyokeSky for ages. Our tour with Pegasus was a blast – we got lunch at the restaurant, visited BaiyokeSky, and even stopped by an oceanarium during the day and caught the Siamese Niramit show in the evening. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps! We had an absolute blast exploring Bangkok.
One stop: BaiyokeSky. The only downside? The elevators.
The elevators are pretty scarce and tiny. And the crowds? Forget about it – we're talking Russians and Chinese tourists galore. I'm not even sure how long we waited, but it was a while. Luckily, we were all in high spirits and nobody was grumpy.
There are both closed and glass-enclosed elevators. We took the glass one back down, and let me tell you, it's like flying down – it moves so fast and you get to see the city. It's exhilarating!
When you're going up, the elevator doesn't take you straight to the 84th floor. If I remember correctly, it stops at around the 40th floor. Then you get out and call the next elevator. After that, you have to walk a few more floors, where you'll find the restaurant we had lunch at – it's on the 80th or 82nd floor. The restaurant is a panoramic spot with tables right by the windows, and a huge selection of dishes in the middle of the room. The menu was super diverse and delicious, and the view was lovely. We would've been happy just to be there, even if they hadn't fed us.
Before you get to the observation deck, there are some installations to take photos in front of.
The view from the observation deck is simply breathtaking! The 84th floor is something else – it's a real rush!
The wind is blowing, and my hair is flying everywhere. But it's so cool!
By the way, all this beauty is somewhat marred by the safety net. It's not the prettiest thing, but I guess it's necessary.
But taking photos with the city in the background is a bit tricky. There are too many people, and the safety net ruins the view. The Chinese tourists were taking selfies nonstop, while we just enjoyed the view.
I highly recommend this place! Not all tours of Bangkok include a visit to BaiyokeSky, but I think it's worth it. When else will you get to go 84 floors high and see the whole city spread out before you? I'm so glad we chose this tour.
