I recently got my hands on the Maskomaniya set from Avon, which includes five cotton masks.
One of them is the Avon Naturals mask with pomegranate extract, which I was excited to try out.
I bought the set from the catalog with some special offers - the set of four standard masks and one Naturals mask cost 400 rubles, with each mask priced at 80 rubles.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information about the product on the Avon website.
The packaging is all in Chinese, and I couldn't even find a minimal translation on the stickers. I had to use a translator to figure out the ingredients, but it was a bit of a struggle.
The packaging itself is pretty standard, just a simple sachet, but nicely designed.
The pomegranate extract looks super vibrant in the mask.
There's an awful lot of emulsion in the mask, and it's very liquid, not sticky like other masks.
The scent is amazing, but not overwhelming.
I applied the mask in the morning, after washing my face and moisturizing. I left it on for 20 minutes, then gently massaged the remaining emulsion into my skin.
The effect won't be immediate.
At first, I was a bit disappointed. My skin felt comfortable, and it was softer and more supple, but that's pretty standard for a fabric mask. I mean, it's not like it's going to change your skin overnight or anything.
But the next morning, I was in for a surprise.
I have combination skin that's super finicky - it gets oily in the T-zone, especially on my nose wings, and dry on the periphery. Usually, my nose looks like it's been oiled up by morning, all shiny and whatnot. But not this time. I went the whole day with a normal-looking face, no oiliness to speak of. The effect lasted for three days, too. And overall, the mask did a great job of hydrating my skin and reducing pores. My skin looked smoother, and I didn't have any irritation or flakiness.
So, here's the lowdown:
The Maskomaniya set is a great value for money, with plenty of emulsion and a nice scent. It's hydrating, makes my skin feel smooth and supple, and reduces sebum production. It absorbs quickly, and I'm really happy with the lack of stickiness after application. The effect lasts for three days, which is awesome. However, the scraper could be improved.
I've ordered four more masks and I'm excited to keep testing them out.
I'll definitely update this review after I've used the remaining four masks.
For now, I'm thoroughly impressed with the Maskomaniya set and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good face mask.
