I've been buying Avon products for ages, ever since my friend was a distributor and I couldn't resist flipping through their catalog and choosing all sorts of goodies. I also used to have a ritual where I'd buy myself a hand cream every year in a new year's design. I think Avon had the best new year's design for hand cream packaging - it's just so cool! One year, the design was inspired by Soviet postcards, and as someone born in the Soviet Union, I just couldn't resist.

The plastic container is top-notch, it's made of quality stuff that bends nicely when you press it and then springs back to its original shape. The lid is hinged, which is super convenient - you don't have to waste time unscrewing it, just flip it open, squirt out what you need, and close it. The hole is standard size, and it dispenses the right amount of product without any stuff getting stuck - the cream doesn't dry out. Texture, consistency, and scent:

The cream is a nice white color, not too thick. The texture is uniform, and its light consistency makes it spread easily and absorb quickly. You can also feel the oils in there, which help with the quick distribution.

The scent is pleasant, and I can definitely pick up on the glycerin. When you apply it to your skin, you get a faint perfume-like note. There's no festive or citrusy aroma, though - it's just a subtle hint that disappears once it's absorbed.

Usage and results:

Let me start with my skin type. I've got super dry skin that needs constant moisturizing. If I use a low-quality hand cream, I don't even feel like it's doing anything. Plus, I've got eczema, and if my hands aren't properly moisturized, it flares up big time. But here's the thing - I've tried loads of hand creams from Avon, and not a single one has failed to give my skin the hydration it needs.

Before I apply the cream in a decent amount, always to clean hands, then I make sure to spread it evenly - it absorbs quickly and I can get on with my daily tasks. At first, my skin feels a bit greasy, but it's not as intense as after a hand cream. As I spread and warm up the cream, it absorbs just as well and my skin becomes moisturized. I timed it, and from the moment I applied the cream to the point where I could start using my hands again, it took around 3-4 minutes. My skin is left feeling well-moisturized and looks a lot better. It becomes smoother and more radiant. The most important quality of this hand cream for me is how well it moisturizes my skin - if it moisturizes well, it's a top-notch product. This avocado oil-based cream does an excellent job of moisturizing my hands. You can see the visual difference in the photos below. My skin is smooth and even. Before After The cream doesn't cause any discomfort, it doesn't leave a residue or any unwanted feeling - I don't feel the urge to wash my hands and get rid of it. Once it's fully absorbed, it's completely unnoticeable on my skin. After The moisturization lasts for a while, even after a single wash with soap. Of course, my skin might feel a bit dry, but I don't feel the need to apply hand cream again. The cumulative effect is also noticeableI've noticed that if I don't forget to slather on the hand cream, my hands stay moisturized and look way better, plus I get less eczema.

Before I took the hand cream to work, I used it at home for a few days, and all the hand creams I have at home automatically become foot creams too. This cream works just as well on my dry feet.It doesn't leave any residue on my hands like some other moisturizing products do.

Usage

I use it frequently, so it gets used up quickly, but because it's so good at moisturizing and nourishing my skin, the usage turns out to be pretty economical. The moisturization lasts even after washing my hands, so I don't need to apply it too often.
