Avon 2-in-1 Apricot and Shea Butter Shampoo

This 2-in-1 Avon shampoo is a total hair saver. It combines apricot and shea butter to leave your hair feeling soft, manageable, and totally nourished. I've used it for daily washing and it's gentle enough not to strip your hair of its natural oils. With its nourishing formula, you can say goodbye to dryness and hello to healthy-looking locks that shine.

Avon's Abri & Shea Butter Shampoo: A Game-Changing Hero for My Color-Treated Locks

summarizeEditor's Summary

I was a total skeptic when it came to using a dedicated shampoo for my color-treated locks. But after trying Avon's Abri & Shea Butter shampoo, I'm hooked. It gently cleanses my hair without stripping it of its color, leaving it feeling soft and silky. The price is super reasonable, especially considering the generous 250ml bottle size. I've been using it for a week now, and I'm loving the way my hair feels and looks. The only thing I wish it had was a bit more shine, but overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. I've noticed a huge difference in the overall health and appearance of my hair since switching to this shampoo. It's definitely worth the investment if you're looking for a gentle, nourishing shampoo that won't break the bank.

Hello, friends!
I'm still figuring out my hair care routine, and today I'm excited to share my thoughts on Avon's Abri & Shea Butter shampoo. For a long time, I relied on 2-in-1 shampoos as a quick fix to wash my hair without using a mask or balm.
And that's exactly what the 'Apricot and Shea Butter' Absolute Strength shampoo from Avon turned out to be: a lifesaver for my long, colored locks.
The Basics:
Where to Buy: You can snag Avon's Abri & Shea Butter shampoo on Avon's website or through their representatives.Price: I'd say the price is quite reasonable.Volume: This shampoo comes in a 250ml bottle, which is perfect for my hair needs.Hair Type: It's specifically designed for dry and damaged hair, just like mine.Manufacturer: The manufacturer is located in Russia, Moscow - a great place to get high-quality hair care products.Ingredients:
I'm not exactly an expert on ingredients, but I know that SLES is generally considered better than SLS, and all those cocamidopropyls are great too. They help soften the harsh action of surfactants and prevent hair from drying out and losing moisture.
As usual, all the 'goodies' are at the end of the ingredients list, but they did include them, which is awesome!
For me, though, the ingredients aren't the top priority - the most important thing is that the shampoo works: it cleans my hair without turning it into straw.
Packaging.
The shampoo comes in a standard plastic bottle with a beige color. The plastic is dense and doesn't dent easily, which is a huge plus.
On the front, there's a label with the name, volume, and pH level:
For low-pH hair
On the back, the label is stuck on, and all the information is inside, so you'll have to peel it off.
And that's where you'll find information about the type of hair the shampoo is suitable for, how to use it, and the ingredients:
The flip-top lid is a great dosing system. It opens easily, no need to worry about breaking your nails. It closes with a soft click, but it's a bit stubborn. I mean, Avon is known for their tight-fitting lids, and it's no surprise - their products travel the world without extra protection, so they've got to make sure the lids are secure!
The shampoo outlet is a decent size, but it can get clogged with shampoo residue.
Color - the shampoo has a lovely peach hue with pearlescent swirls:
Scent - it's sweet, but not overpowering. I get notes of apricot and sweet sesame oil. I like it, but it might get annoying if I use it too often.
Texture - it's quite thick, but that's a good thing - it means I can control the amount I use.
Application.
Apply to wet hair, lather, and rinse. Repeat if needed. My Hair: I've got long, colored locks with dry ends that are prone to splitting, and oily roots. My hair's a bit porous, and it tends to curl and fall apart when it's wet. I wash it every 2-3 days.
What I loved right off the bat was how a small amount of shampoo creates a rich lather from the get-go. I usually wash my hair twice, and this shampoo behaves the same way. The second time around, I use a bit less shampoo, and the lather gets even thicker. Yeah, SLS knows its stuff!
Cleansing - the shampoo cleans easily, and my hair feels softer than when I use non-conditioning shampoos. It's not silky smooth, but I don't feel like I need to use a conditioner, either. Unless I want to risk turning my hair into a greasy mess, that is!
I've been using this shampoo only once a week because it's got nourishing properties from apricot and shea butter, and I don't want to have to wash my greasy hair every day.
The Results.
If I've got the time, I dry my hair naturally, but sometimes I use a blow dryer. The photo below shows my hair dried with a blow dryer, so it's almost straight:
I can brush my hair without any issues, and I don't really need any detangling sprays - they'd just weigh my hair down. But the ends do need some silicone-based products because they look dry.
My Observations and Conclusions:
The shampoo lathers really well;It washes out easily; It smells great; It's quite economical; But if I use it too often, it weighs my hair down and makes it greasy; My hair brushes out easily; It feels silky to the touch, and my hair looks healthy; But I'm missing that extra shine - my hair just looks like it's coated, although it doesn't feel that way. Maybe it's just the gloomy weather, but I want more of that glossy look.It doesn't frizz my hair at all! In the winter, that's a major issue for me, and most hair products I've tried make my hair frizzy and require detangling sprays. Not this one, though - it's a game-changer.
The Verdict: I really like this shampoo, but I wouldn't recommend using it more than once a week if you've got oily roots. If you've got dry hair, though, you can use it as often as you like.
My hair has really taken to this shampoo - it's clean, easy to brush, and doesn't frizz. I can even use it without any extra products, which is a major plus.
To all you lovely people with beautiful hair!
Thanks for reading!
