I'm a huge fan of detective novels and romance books, but I only recently discovered the world of thrillers. I've devoured a ton of them in a short span, and I'm completely hooked.
My journey into the world of thrillers started with John Marrs and his novel "When You Disappear". That was followed by Jana Wagner and her novels "The Shadow in the Swamp", "The Wongozero", and "The Living". I've since started buying novels by authors like Carrie, Lauren White, and others on Avito.
As a librarian, I have access to a vast number of modern books, although thrillers are a rare find. That's where Avito comes in handy - I've found some great deals on used books.

You'll Never Disappear. Michelle BussiReviews of the book and author:
It's a 2024 publication, and I'm excited to see what the author comes up with next.
Published by Phantom Press, Moscow. The book has 432 pages, and I devoured it in just a few days.
The last page leaves you wondering about the essence of existence, the plot, and the ending – it's all still a mystery.
The table of contents at the beginning of the book:
Honestly, the chapters don't match the content. At least, I couldn't figure out where the infant soul ends and the mature one begins. The book mixes it all up.
Plot
It's been 10 years since my life changed forever. I was living in a beachside town, working as a doctor and loving every minute of it. My 10-year-old son, Esteban, was the light of my life. But one day, everything fell apart. Esteban had gone to the bakery, just a 150-meter walk from our house, and vanished into thin air.
I've never been able to shake the feeling that Esteban was taken from me. The police told me he was gone for good, but I knew better. I've spent the past decade trying to move on, but the memories of that day still haunt me. And then, something strange happened. I found myself drawn back to the beach, to the spot where I last saw Esteban. And that's when I saw him - or at least, I thought I did. The same face, the same age, even the same swimsuit. Time seemed to stand still for me. Was this really Esteban? Or was it his reincarnation? I couldn't shake the feeling that I had to find out who this boy was, who called himself Tom. So, I packed my bags and moved to the Auvergne, where Tom lived with his mother. The more I watched Tom, the more I realized how much he resembled Esteban. Same interests, same fears... I was starting to lose my grip on reality. How far would I go to uncover the truth? And save him? I knew, deep down, that Tom was in danger.
I'm not a fan of fantasy or mystery novels. I prefer stories that tackle real-life issues. So, when I started reading this book, I wasn't sure if I'd make it to the end.
You'll Never Disappear. Michelle Bussi's Review of the Book I was blown away by the plot twist in this book. The author expertly weaves together elements of mystery, suspense, and even a touch of romance. The main character's journey is both heartbreaking and thought-provoking.
The book starts by introducing the concept of reincarnation, with the main character searching for her missing son. As the story unfolds, the author skillfully drops hints and introduces new characters that raise more questions than answers.
I found myself invested in the mystery, wondering if the events that unfolded were a result of the main character's grief or something more sinister. The author masterfully keeps you guessing until the very end, and the final reveal is both surprising and satisfying.
One thing that struck me about this book is the French approach to storytelling. Unlike many other books and films, the French tend to take their time, building up to a more straightforward conclusion.
While I appreciated the author's style and the engaging plot, I didn't feel the need to revisit this book. It's a solid three-and-a-half stars, and I'd recommend it to fans of mystery and suspense.
Michelle Bussi's 'You'll Never Disappear' is a must-read! This thriller combines elements of mystery, suspense, and investigation, with a dash of romance and hope. The ending is a real page-turner, and I loved the unexpected twist.
I've read some great thrillers lately, including 'I'm Watching You' by Teresa Driscoll, 'Starving the Emotional Gas Tank' by Loren Ann Ewart, and 'Bury Me Under the Floorboards' by Pavel Sanaev.
