Editor's Summary
Getting my driver's license was a long time coming, but it's been a total game changer for my independence. I was terrified of driving at first, but with the pandemic and public transportation getting crazy, I knew I needed to take the leap. I chose Auto Schools ES because they promised to teach me how to drive safely, not just get me my license. Now I'm enjoying the freedom of being able to get around without relying on buses and marshrutkas.

I'd been putting off getting my driver's license for ages. The thought of getting behind the wheel was terrifying, but I'm a city girl at heart and I thought public transportation was the way to go. With the pandemic and all, I realized I needed to get my license to be more independent and not rely on buses and marshrutkas, which are always packed and drive like they're on a wild rollercoaster.
Theory in real-timeI spent months researching and choosing an auto school carefully. I wanted a school that would teach me how to drive safely, not just get me my license. I mean, practice makes perfect, right?
The school's platform and carI settled on Auto Schools ES because they promised to teach me how to drive, not just get my license. Plus, I couldn't find any red flags about their lack of practical training.
My hard-earned license
A month after getting my licenseAfter signing up, the school's administrator, Tatiana, helped me with all the paperwork and getting my medical certificate.
I took my theory classes online using the Proftex platform, which was super convenient. I could review the lessons as many times as I needed, and my instructor was always available to answer questions and clarify any doubts I had.
My practical training started a month after the theory classes. I was lucky to have an amazing instructor, Viktor Nikolaevich. He's super calm and composed, which created a really comfortable atmosphere during the lessons. We started on the school's platform in Sertolovo, which was great because we had the place to ourselves - it's the school's property, so we didn't have to worry about any distractions.
After the platform training, we moved to the city for more practical lessons. We worked out a schedule with Viktor that fit my needs, and he made sure I got all the practice I needed. I have to say, my fear of driving gave way to a focus on the road and all its dangers. With Viktor's guidance, I was able to stay calm and focused, even in the most challenging situations.
I also want to give a shout-out to Olya Anatolyevna, the school's deputy director, who helped coordinate our exam at the traffic police department. She was super supportive and made sure everything went smoothly. We had a great group, and most of us passed the exam - I think only a few people were too nervous.
It's been over a month since I got my license, and I'm really enjoying the freedom of being able to drive whenever I want. I'm glad I chose Auto Schools ES - they really delivered on their promise. Thanks a million!
