Hello everyone!

I've learned to prioritize clothing and footwear based on the weather conditions living in the far north. For years, I bought Kuoma boots for my eldest daughter, but I started noticing that the quality had deteriorated, and the soles were cracking.
When my youngest child grew up, I began looking for an alternative. I stumbled upon Aurorastar boots, which looked eerily similar to Kuoma. I decided to give them a try since choosing the right shoes for my son was a nightmare due to his high arches.

Manufacturer's description:
Aurorastar boots are designed specifically for Russian winters, where temperatures can drop as low as -40°C in some regions and average around -5°C in others. The porous structure of the boot's base allows for optimal microclimate control at various temperatures and humidity levels. The water- and dirt-repellent textile will extend the boot's lifespan, while the thick, plush fur will keep your feet warm. The polyurethane sole with advanced additives ensures maximum comfort and prevents slipping. Aurorastar boots can be machine washed at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. To extend the boot's lifespan, use a water-repellent spray after washing.

Where to buy. I purchased the first pair from Wildberries, and the second pair is already on its way to me from Ozon, as I'm familiar with their sizing chart and fit.
Price. 2800 rubles.

Packaging and appearance.
The boots come in a branded cardboard box.
The boots were neatly packed inside.
They came with a manufacturer's label.
The reverse side highlights the boots' benefits.
Color palette is incredibly diverse, with a wide range of designs and colors suitable for both boys and girls.
Our first pair was in a cosmic theme.
The second pair is darker and has a winter design.
Aurorastar boots are perfect for high arches. My son can easily put them on and take them off without any issues, thanks to the absence of zippers and laces.
I've gotta say, these boots are ridiculously easy to slip on and off. They don't constrict my feet at all.
The sole is thick with a nice tread pattern. It's super grippy and won't let me slip on wet surfaces.
After a whole season with my previous pair of boots, I didn't notice any micro-tears.
So, I'm more than satisfied with the quality of the sole.
The midsole is porous, which looks a bit rough.
All the stitching is neat and tidy, and I don't see any signs of glue.
The inside is lined with a thick, fluffy fur.
As I wear them more, they do start to lose some of their fluff, but my toes stay warm.
The insole is removable, which is a huge plus for me. It's got a little loop on it that makes it easy to pull out.
Of course, as I wear them more, the insole does start to thin out.
As for sizing, these boots are a bit bigger than I expected.
26 size by the insole:
The difference between 25 and 26 sizes is noticeable.
Temperature range.
I've gotta say, my feet were toasty warm in these boots even when we didn't wear socks. Unlike the Kuoma, Aurorastar boots don't require any activity to stay warm. They're designed to keep your feet cozy, and I can confidently say that my feet were not only warm but also dry. The material is water-resistant, which is a must-have for rainy days.
I put this to the test when I cleaned the boots, and I was impressed with how well they held up.
I'd recommend starting to wear these boots around -7°C. I think it might get a bit too warm for them at -5°C.
Maintenance.
The manufacturer says you can machine wash them, but I opted to hand wash them with a membrane gel to be safe.
They're not high maintenance at all. After a winter of use, the boots still looked and performed like new.
I'm really happy with my purchase and I've already bought another pair for this winter. The price is reasonable, the boots are comfortable and warm. My kid can easily lift their feet, and the boots aren't too heavy. I've found my perfect pair - I'd definitely recommend checking out the Aurorastar boots.
