Hello there, skincare enthusiasts!
I'm at an age where I need to start fighting wrinkles, but I've only just started to get serious about tackling inflammation. My skin's a weird combo of oily in the T-zone and dry on my cheeks, and I've always been more worried about dryness and tightness than blackheads, sebum, and inflammation. I mean, who hasn't been there, right?
So, I decided to mix up my skincare routine, separate my skincare by skin type, introduce some new players like acids, niacinamide, and peptides. That's how I ended up with ART&FACT Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% face serum with niacinamide and zinc.
It's made in Russia, which is actually pretty cool.
The serum comes in a 30ml bottle. You can buy it on marketplaces (I got mine on WB), check the link, and it's also available in pharmacies and beauty stores.
Niacinamide is a total rockstar when it comes to skincare. It helps improve the skin's protective functions, reduces trans-epidermal water loss, and reduces pigmentation. It smoothes, improves skin elasticity, moisturizes, reduces pores, calms, and is effective for sensitive skin. It also improves blood microcirculation and brightens the skin. Zinc, on the other hand, has antiseptic, astringent, and seborrhoeic properties.
Result:
- reduced inflammation and acne;
- Smooth skin tone;
- Reduced post-acne marks;
- Normalized sebum production.
Check out the packaging of the Art&Fact niacinamide and zinc serum. The bright magenta color, the cardboard box, the minimalist white glass bottle, and the pipette with a soft base all caught my eye.
The serum itself is transparent with a slightly murky color, has a liquid texture that's a bit sticky. The scent is barely noticeable, no strong fragrance, just a subtle cosmetic smell.
By the way, the Art&Fact website has a super helpful guide on what you can and can't pair the serum with. For example, the manufacturer advises against using the serum with niacinamide and zinc and a walnut shell peel at the same time.

The serum's composition is:
Aqua/Water, Niacinamide, Butylene Glycol, Zinc PCA, Propylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Xanthan Gum, Ceteareth-23, Dipropyleneglycol,Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Vaccinium Vitis-Idaea Fruit Extract.
The active ingredient in this serum is 10% niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3. It's got a pretty impressive range of benefits, from regulating sebum and improving skin tone to anti-aging. And let's not forget about the zinc - a well-known anti-inflammatory component.
I've got to say, the ingredient list for this Art&Fact serum looks pretty solid and definitely gives me confidence in the product.
My skin is a weird combo of oily in the T-zone and dry on my cheeks. Before, I was buying products specifically for dry and sensitive skin, and pretty much ignoring my oily areas - they weren't really causing me too much trouble.

But, as you can see from the photos, my skin was paying the price for poor product choices. Let's take my chin as an example - there are plenty of visible inflammation and blackheads.
my skin before I was using this Art&Fact serum specifically for my oily and combination skin. And I only applied it to that area, not to my cheeks.

I'd use it every evening after washing my face, applying it and spreading it with gentle motions. The serum would leave a slightly tacky finish, but it would absorb quickly and I wouldn't feel it on my skin. After applying the serum, I'd follow up with a moisturizer - I've got this one. I wouldn't apply the serum in the morning.
My skin after a weekAfter about a week, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and was blown away by the results. The number of black spots on my skin had decreased dramatically, and the inflammation had significantly subsided.
My skin before/afterI continued using the serum until I achieved the desired outcome. During use, I didn't experience any adverse reactions on my skin, no redness, no irritation, my skin took the serum beautifully.
My skin before/afterBut then, a couple of days later in the morning, I caught a glimpse of this...
What I saw was a bit of a surprise - it was the morning after using a moisturizer! I had used the serum with niacinamide and zinc for a short period, applied it only to the T-zone, and moisturized my skin. This really threw me off.
However, I have to say that the serum performed exceptionally well in terms of tackling my acne issues. The number of black spots decreased significantly, and it's even noticeable from the photos. The inflammation also subsided.
My skin after - 1.5 weeks laterI'd recommend the ART&FACT Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum with zinc and niacinamide, but with caution. I'm putting its use on hold for now.
Thanks for tuning in.
