Hello everyone!

Reasons for the appointment.
I went to see a trauma doctor with a pain syndrome in the forearm area, between the wrist and elbow, on the back side.
The pain got worse when I was active and moving. I also had swelling on my hand, where it hurt. My wrist swelled up. My temperature went up to 37 degrees, and I felt weak, drowsy, and lethargic.
This all happened after I'd been doing a lot of physical work on my right hand. I was digging up garden beds from scratch for the first time in my life. It was tough, but I thought I was managing. The next day, I watered the whole garden and bushes with a 5-liter watering can. Unfortunately, it was too much strain on my hand.
The doctor diagnosed me with myositis of the right forearm muscles. I was prescribed several medications: one for muscle relaxation, a second one was a cream with Diclofenac and Dimexide, and the third one was Arcoxia for pain relief.
Dosage.
I was told to take one 90mg tablet once a day for 7 days when I had pain.
Overall impressions.
The Arcoxia tablets have an interesting apple-shaped form and a white color. I've never seen anything like them before - they look quite interesting.

They're small, so swallowing them is pretty comfortable. I washed them down with a small amount of room-temperature water.
I found taking it once a day to be pretty comfortable. I started taking it in the mornings after breakfast. There was an option to take it at night, but I had to take another medication at night, so I didn't.
I also just prefer taking pills in the morning.
Side effects.
Unfortunately, the side effects didn't take long to show up after I started taking this medication.
I experienced headaches, stomach pain, bloating, drowsiness, irritable bowel syndrome, and bloating.
After I stopped taking the medication, these symptoms went away.
Result.
Despite the side effects, the pain did decrease. Life got a lot easier. The inflammation reduced.
I stopped taking the tablets as soon as the pain turned into just uncomfortable sensations. I didn't want to take any extra pills, especially with the side effects. I took 3 tablets of Arcoxia and continued using the cream and another relaxation aid for my muscles.
Following my doctor's advice, I limited my physical activities with my hands, but I had to go back on the medication after two weeks. When the swelling wasn't as bad, I thought I was done with it, but then I spent two days canning jam and pickling cucumbers. My hand started hurting, the swelling came back, and I even got a bruise. Here's a photo of my hand on the third day of treatment – the swelling is already less noticeable.

I had to restart taking Arcoxia, and I've been on it for four days now. I'm still recovering, but thankfully, the pain is gone, and the swelling is minimal. The bruise is still there, though. I've realized I need to be more careful and not overexert myself.
Cost and where I bought it.
I purchased this medication at the Farmani pharmacy. It cost me 861 rubles and 79 kopecks.
Merck Sharp & Dohme's Arcoxia is a lifesaver when it comes to eliminating pain syndromes. My only complaints are the side effects and the steep price tag. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. I only recommend it if your doctor prescribes it.
Thanks for reading, and I wish you good health!
