Tula Aquatic Center

This place is a total game-changer for kids who love the water. The Tula Aquatic Center offers an amazing array of swimming and aquatic activities that are perfect for little ones, with a focus on fun and safety. My kiddos had a blast splashing around in the pool and playing with the water toys. The staff is super friendly and makes sure everyone's having a great time.

A Disappointing Experience at AquaLania-Likerka Loft

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the whole AquaLania-Likerka Loft experience. We signed up for infant swimming lessons, but it was a total letdown. The place seemed convenient with a paid parking lot, but that's where the good stuff ended. We were really looking forward to the trial session, but the instructor we got wasn't what we expected. I'll get into that later. For now, let's focus on the few positives – and there aren't many. But hey, at least they had a coat rack where we could hang our clothes and change into flip-flops before heading into the pool area. You can also buy all the necessary gear for the lessons, like swim diapers and caps. The place was pretty clean, and there's a play area for kids waiting or sleeping. But these tiny perks aren't enough to save the experience.

A Disappointing Experience at AquaLania-Likerka Loft
We visited AquaLania-Likerka Loft for infant swimming lessons, but it was a bit of a letdown. We'd heard great things about infant swimming, so we decided to give it a try. After researching, we found three pools in town that offered it, but AquaLania-Likerka Loft seemed like the most convenient option, with a paid parking lot.
We gathered the necessary documents from our pediatrician and booked a trial session online, where we could choose our instructor. We picked one based on reviews, but that didn't quite work out. More on that later.
First, the good stuff:
They have a coat rack where you can hang your clothes and change into flip-flops before entering the pool area. You can buy all the necessary gear for the lessons, like swim diapers and caps. The place is pretty clean. There's a play area for kids waiting or sleeping.
There's a waiting area with monitors where you can watch your little one.
They have pelenalniks in the shower.
Now, about the actual visit. We arrived, got changed, and waited for 15 minutes. Time was running out, and we needed to get ready. Without extra shoes, parents can't go beyond the waiting area. They have a plastic slide, but you'll need a pelenka for it or to wash your baby under the shower. Our little one didn't enjoy the shower, and we ended up crying our way to the lesson. We waited for 10 minutes for the instructor to finish with another kid. She showed him what he'd learned, while we stood there, dripping wet.
When she finally arrived, she said, 'You're the only normal kid who's not crying?' and started taking our baby for a swim. At that point, I didn't need to wonder about her professionalism. She never managed to connect with our baby during the 30-minute lesson. We spent 360 rubles on public toys (which might not be sanitized) and left.
The question of continuing lessons was on the table, but we decided to try another instructor and location before deciding. We'll give it another shot in the summer. To be honest, we were expecting a bit more from a place that's supposed to be one of the best in town. The whole experience left us feeling a bit disappointed, but we're hoping that the next time will be better. We'll definitely be looking for a more convenient and kid-friendly option in the future.
What We Liked:
Convenient location with a paid parking lot. Coat rack for hanging clothes and changing into flip-flops. Availability of necessary gear for lessons. Cleanliness of the facility. Play area for kids waiting or sleeping. Waiting area with monitors for watching your little one. Pelenalniks in the shower.
What We Didn't Like:
Instructor's lack of professionalism and inability to connect with our baby. Unsanitary public toys. Disappointing experience overall.
