They took some blood tests to identify the allergens, and I ended up with some nasty welts on my wrists. It turned out my arch-nemesis weeds were Ambrosia, Ciclochena, Wormwood, Cocklebur, Hemp, and a few others.
I spent the next two years trying to get desensitized through injections, but it was a total failure. I'd go to the allergist three times a week, and they'd inject me with increasingly higher doses of the allergen. If I reacted, they'd back off. But I never got to a high enough dose, because I'd break out in hives and they'd have to reverse it. Needless to say, it didn't do anything to alleviate my symptoms during peak pollen season. I gave up and resigned myself to just dealing with it, thinking that maybe it was just something I'd have to live with.
I've got a severe allergy, and I can sneeze nonstop, with a constant flow of snot and sweat making me feel like I'm in a sauna. My nose is itchy to the point of being raw. The schedule is like this: wake up, dissolve, wait for 30 minutes, and then you can eat. Take one tablet every day, and at the end of the course, take one every other day. July 30, 2018 After the rain, the weeds have grown back and are looking quite fierce. Unfortunately, my allergies have flared up again, and I'm back to using my alergrid nasal spray. I'm a bit disappointed with Anti-Pollen, but I need to give it a few more courses to see if it really works. It's not cheap, after all.
