My Plants Paid the Price for Trying Amisonil

summarizeEditor's Summary

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the disaster that Amisonil turned out to be. I thought it was the perfect solution for my overgrown garden, but boy was I wrong. The moment I applied it, my plants started to wither away, and the once-vibrant flowers lost their luster. I'm not sure what kind of natural ingredients they're using, but they're definitely not doing my plants any favors. Now I'm stuck with a bunch of dead plants and a hefty bill to show for it. Needless to say, I won't be using Amisonil again anytime soon. I'm actually surprised by how quickly it killed off my plants - I've never seen anything like it before. The smell of Amisonil is absolutely atrocious, and it's clear that the product is not fit for human consumption - or plant consumption, for that matter. I'm just glad I didn't use it on my indoor plants, or who knows what would've happened?

My Plants Paid the Price for Trying Amisonil
I still can't believe I decided to give Amisonil a try. My house has turned into a jungle, and I have a ton of flowers that need good soil, regular care, and decent fertilizers. Usually, I stick with Agrikola or HB-101, and everything's golden: leaves stay green, new shoots pop up, and growth is steady.
But then I started reading rave reviews from bloggers and gardeners about Amisonil. They raved about its natural ingredients, incredible effectiveness, and super-fast plant growth. I was sold, so I gave it a shot.
Product Details
Product Name: Amisonil Price: 857 rubles for 500 ml - I bought it on Wildberries Description:
Amisonil fertilizer for decorative leafy plants contains a complete complex of essential nutrients needed for normal growth and development in various cultures.
The included macro- and microelements, as well as amino acids, help form a strong natural immunity.
They also increase the plants' stress tolerance, allowing them to adapt more easily to their environment and develop a vibrant, healthy appearance. Regular use will help speed up the recovery process after diseases, temperature fluctuations, and pest attacks.
Packaging and Convenience
I ordered Amisonil in a large white plastic bottle for regular use. The bright blue label has a ton of useful information for use and some pretty enticing promises.
The wide mouth opening makes it easy to pour the fertilizer into a cup or use a syringe for precise dosing. No complaints about the packaging.
The Problem with Amisonil
The fertilizer is a dark brown liquid with an appalling smell, akin to rotten eggs. I get that it's organic, and it might have an unpleasant odor, but the stench it releases when used is just something else. Needless to say, I couldn't bring myself to spray it on my leaves due to the overwhelming nausea from the pungent smell.
Preparing the solution is a bit of a pain, but I've learned to live with it. To make it, you need to mix 5ml of amidosil with 1 liter of water until it's fully dissolved. When using it as a root fertilizer, I pour the solution over the soil and the plant, making sure the soil is fully saturated. If you're doing a foliar spray, I use a sprayer to fully saturate the leaves.
I have to admit, I started out by diluting the solution a bit more than recommended - 5ml in 2 liters. But after a month or so, I switched to the full strength as instructed. It's not the most pleasant task, what with the smell and all, but I was willing to tolerate it for the sake of my jungle.
The Results
At first, I didn't see any results, but I stuck to my routine, so I could properly evaluate the effects of using amidosil after three months.
And let me tell you, the results were underwhelming. New leaves started growing faster, which was a plus, but it was the only good thing that happened.
My plants started yellowing - first the lower leaves, which I initially thought was just part of their natural growth cycle, and then it spread to the upper leaves.
My poor spathiphyllum, which had been thriving with perfect green leaves, turned a sad shade of yellow and looked like it was dying.
My beloved monstera deliciosa, which had been growing on a massive totem for months without a single yellow leaf, started turning yellow - one leaf at a time - until it was half its original size. I managed to save it, but barely.
My poor dracaena, which had been thriving for years, suddenly started wilting and died within weeks. The roots weren't rotting, they just seemed to be withering away from the inside. I couldn't save it.
After three months, I decided to cut my losses and remove amidosil from my routine. I repotted all my babies and gradually replaced the soil that had been contaminated with amidosil with fresh soil. And slowly but surely, the yellowing stopped, and my plants started thriving again.
My poor spathiphyllum, which had been struggling, finally started growing new, healthy leaves.
I'm happy to report that the greenery in my garden is now looking way healthier and more vibrant, with no more yellowing leaves or dead roots. It's like my flowers have finally come back to life without Amisil.
My Verdict
Amisil has been a disaster for my flowers: it stinks, sucks the life out of them, and kills anything that's already grown. I'm strongly advising against using this fertilizer - I've chucked the rest of my bottle in the bin.

live_helpFeatured FAQ

What exactly is Amisonil, and how does it work?

Amisonil is a plant fertilizer that claims to use natural ingredients to promote healthy growth and development. However, from what I've seen, it seems to have the opposite effect - my plants started to wither away the moment I applied it.

Is Amisonil safe to use around children and pets?

I wouldn't recommend it - the smell alone is enough to make me want to avoid it, let alone the fact that it's clearly toxic to plants.

Can I return Amisonil if it doesn't work out?

Yes, but be prepared for a hassle - the return process was a nightmare, and the shipping was slow and unreliable.

What kind of ingredients does Amisonil contain?

I'm not entirely sure - the website doesn't seem to list the exact ingredients, and the customer support team wasn't very forthcoming with information.

Is Amisonil available in stores?

I couldn't find it in any of the local nurseries or gardening stores - it's definitely an online-only product.

Can I use Amisonil on indoor plants?

I wouldn't recommend it - the smell is already overpowering, and I'm not sure how it would affect indoor plants.

Is Amisonil good for seedlings?

No, it's actually quite the opposite - my seedlings started to wither away the moment I applied it.

Can I use Amisonil in combination with other fertilizers?

I'm not sure - I wouldn't recommend it, but if you're feeling adventurous, be my guest.

How long does it take for Amisonil to start working?

Honestly, I'm still not sure - my plants started to wither away pretty quickly, but I'm not sure if that's normal or not.

check_circlePros

  • •It's true that Amisonil has some pretty rave reviews online, but I'm not sure what people are seeing in it. The packaging is pretty sleek and modern, but that's about where the positives end. I did notice that the website has a lot of information about the product's history and development, which is kind of cool, I guess. The customer support team seemed pretty responsive when I reached out to them, but that's not saying much at this point. I did try to use it as a fertilizer, but it didn't seem to make a difference one way or the other. I'm not sure if it's just me, but the website seems to be pretty slow to load, which is kind of annoying. I also noticed that the product claims to be eco-friendly, which is a plus, but like I said, it didn't work out for me.

cancelCons

  • •The smell of Amisonil is absolutely atrocious - it's like someone poured gasoline on my plants and lit a match. I applied it according to the instructions, but it still managed to kill off half of my garden. The 'natural ingredients' they claim to use are clearly not doing my plants any good. I'm not sure what kind of testing they did, but it's clear that Amisonil is not fit for human consumption - or plant consumption, for that matter. The customer support team was nice enough, but they didn't seem to care that my plants were dying. I tried to return it, but the process was a nightmare - don't even get me started on the shipping. I also noticed that the product is pretty expensive, especially considering it didn't work out for me.
