I first tried this moisturizer after my dermatologist recommended it for nighttime use. My skin is sensitive, but not dry, and it's combination, but this cream worked perfectly, especially during the winter months when it needs extra hydration and help with redness caused by cold weather.
I picked it up on sale at Mila, but you can also find it at other retailers like 21st Century in Belarus or online stores like Ozon and ZYA in CIS countries.
The price fluctuates between 1000-1500 rubles, so I keep an eye out for the best deal.
The cream comes in a plastic tube, packaged in a factory box with the manufacturer's details, including hypoallergenic properties, which are achieved by omitting certain additives that could trigger allergies.
0% alcohol, parabens, perfume, or dyes.
I've been using this cream for over a week now, and I'm impressed with how versatile it is - you can start using it from 14 years old.
The cream has a 3-year warranty, and the expiration date is clearly stated on the box.
Colorants are substances added to change the color of materials, surfaces, or products - think dyes, pigments, or a combination of both.
Volume: 75ml. This size is perfect for daily use 1-2 times a day, which should last you around 2-3 months.
Check the back of the tube for the full product description:This cream instantly moisturizes and soothes your skin, reducing its sensitivity. It strengthens the lipid barrier and protects against harsh environmental factors.
As expected from this brand, the claims sound realistic and don't promise the moon. I've got no complaints.
This cream has undergone a range of medical studies:
It's been tested by the Department of Clinical Research at the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
Expiration date is clearly stated on the box, and it's a 3-year warranty.I was happy to see that the product contains 3 active ingredients that I'm familiar with. The packaging explains how they work, and it's pretty straightforward - no magic here, just effective components that really take care of your skin and calm it down:
panthenol;
hyaluronic acid;
phospholipids and glycolipids.
The product composition is as follows:
I was really curious to see what's inside this product, and the ingredient list is quite a mouthful. It's got Aqua, which is just water, but then it gets interesting with Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, which is great for skin health. Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter is another winner, providing moisture and nourishment. There's also Cetearyl Alcohol, Hydroxyethyl Urea, and a bunch of other ingredients I'd never heard of, like Isononyl Isononanoate and Caprylyl Methicone. I'm no expert, but it seems like a solid mix of emollients, moisturizers, and skin soothers. There's also some fancy stuff like Panthenol, Pentylene Glycol, and Isopentyldiol, which I can only assume are good for my skin. The list goes on with Dimethicone, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Phospholipids, Glycolipids, Bisabolol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Sterols, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Allantoin, Tocopherol, Beta-Sitosterol, Squalene, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glyceryl Stearate, Carbomer, Xanthan Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tetrasodium EDTA, and Sodium Hydroxide. It's a lot to take in, but I'm excited to see how it all works together.
Just like with other products from this brand that I've tried, this one is great. At the top of the list are the active ingredients that are exactly what you need to provide moisturizing (oils), a soothing effect (bisabolol, panthenol, allantoin, and others), and a smoothing effect that helps to strengthen the lipid barrier of the skin (niacinamide, phospholipids, and glycolipids). That's what I'm looking for. There are no harsh chemicals. I was pleased to see niacinamide at the top of the ingredient list, it's a game-changer because it works well with moisturizing ingredients and suits any skin type.
Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid. This is a great combination for hydration and strengthening the skin barrier. Hyaluronic acid provides deep hydration, while niacinamide helps to lock it in.
I'm not even getting into how it also helps with sebum regulation, reduces inflammation. This type of ingredient is often added to cosmetics for sensitive skin. Given that my nose and forehead get oily by the evening, I've noticed that since using the cream, sebum production has decreased.
For a detailed breakdown of the ingredients, check out the Icon Skin website.I didn't highlight the technical ingredients in bold. For example, pH and texture regulators (sodium hydroxide), preservatives (phenoxethanol, tetrasodium EDTA), thickeners (xanthan gum).
What's worth noting is that even a tough ecogolicist gave the formula a thumbs-up, without identifying any hazardous ingredients.
When I was reading through reviews, I realized that 'natural' isn't always a guarantee of quality. Don't be scared off by the 3-star rating for the technical components – we're talking preservatives, solvents, and stabilizers here.
The tube itself opens and closes easily with the lid, and while there's no protective membrane, there's a plastic 'seal' that ensures nobody's tampered with the cream before you.
You can 'open' the plastic label with your fingers if you're careful.
The cream has a white color and a dense texture.
Since it's scent-free, I didn't pick up any smell - at least, I couldn't notice anything.
It absorbs quickly, almost melting into my skin.
I apply it to my hand, rubbing it in for about 5-10 seconds.One thing I really like about this cream is how it absorbs quickly - no greasy or sticky feeling at all.I'm totally satisfied with this cream - 100% recommend it. As someone who's a bit of a 'scent fanatic', I might miss the fragrance, but it gets the job done. My skin feels hydrated, protected from harsh environmental factors, and the inflammation has decreased. It's also not producing excess sebum, making it perfect for daily use. When my skin isn't flaking, it's super soft, and my makeup lasts longer - even in the cold winter months. Plus, the moisturizing effect helps to delay the appearance of fine lines. Since I learned that a simple skincare routine involving a cleanser, serum, and moisturizer is all you need, I've stopped wasting money on fancy products. Regardless of your skin type, hydration is a must - you don't need a ton of products to achieve healthy skin.Here's me using the cream as part of my skincare routine just before it launched.My skincare routine is pretty straightforward. I wash my face with a gentle gel cleanser, then apply a hydrating serum, and finish off with this moisturizing cream from Icon Skin. I've got three of their products in my arsenal right now.
