AlphaPet Monoprotein Dry Food for Adult Cats with Turkey

I've tried a bunch of cat foods, but my cats go absolutely wild for this AlphaPet stuff. It's made with real turkey protein and zero fillers - no junk or by-products. We've been using it for a while now, and it's a total win for adult cats. Plus, it's a great value for money.

My Fussy Feline's Mixed Review of Alfapet's Mono-Protein Kibble

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been trying out Alfapet's mono-protein kibble with my fussy feline, Misaka, and it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. On the one hand, the price point is pretty reasonable, coming in at around 350 rubles for 400 grams, and the vitamins and minerals are a big plus. However, the kibbles are a bit too big for Misaka's taste, and she's not as crazy about it as she is about her regular Pro Plan. Still, it's worth giving it a shot if you're looking for a change of pace for your cat.

Hello there, fellow pet parents!
If you've been scrolling through adorable cat pics for five minutes, congratulations, you've earned a break!
Meet Misaka, my lovely, aging, and slightly chunky cat who's prone to overeating - who isn't, right?
As a regular Pro Plan user, I like to mix things up and try new kibbles. I stumbled upon Alfapet while browsing online, and their mono-protein line with chicken caught my eye. The price point was around 350 rubles for 400 grams, which I thought was reasonable - though it's a bit pricier now.
Alfapet offers a range of lines, including a premium series that's a bit more affordable. I opted for the mono-protein line with duck, which contains a decent amount of protein and some nice vitamins and minerals. The ingredients list is pretty impressive, with duck as the first ingredient and 32% protein content.
When switching to a new kibble, it's essential to do it gradually to prevent digestive upset. I appreciate that the manufacturer provides clear instructions and even includes diagrams to help with the transition.
Inside the resealable bag, I found the kibble to be a dense, brown color with a meaty aroma. The texture was a bit uneven, with visible grains. The kibble itself was quite large and dry, almost resembling dog food in size and texture.
Unfortunately, my cat didn't take to the Alfapet kibble. The large size and dry texture just didn't appeal to her, and I had to stop the experiment after a few tries. I'm not sure about the digestive comfort or potential allergic reactions, but I do know that the size and texture were a major turn-off.My advice to fellow pet owners: be aware of the potential issues with this kibble, especially if your cat is finicky like mine. Maybe Alfapet will improve their recipe, but for now, I'd recommend exploring other options.
Nice chatting with you all, and I hope this review helps someone out there!

live_helpFeatured FAQ

Is Alfapet's mono-protein kibble suitable for cats with food allergies?

I'm not entirely sure, but I would recommend consulting with a veterinarian before switching your cat to a new food. They can help you determine whether the kibble is a good fit for your cat's specific needs.

How long does the kibble last?

The 400-gram bag should last around 2-3 weeks for a cat of Misaka's size, depending on how much she eats.

Can I get a refund if my cat doesn't like the kibble?

According to the company's return policy, you can get a refund or exchange the kibble for a different product if your cat doesn't like it. However, you'll need to contact customer support to initiate the process.

Is the kibble made with high-quality ingredients?

From what I can tell, the kibble is made with high-quality protein sources like chicken and turkey. However, I'd love to see more information about the specific ingredients used.

Can I get a discount on the kibble if I buy in bulk?

I'm not sure - I've only bought the kibble in small quantities so far. However, it's worth asking the company about any potential discounts for bulk purchases.

Is the kibble suitable for kittens?

I'm not sure - I'd recommend consulting with a veterinarian before switching your kitten to a new food. They can help you determine whether the kibble is a good fit for your kitten's specific needs.

How do I contact Alfapet's customer support?

You can contact them through their website or by emailing them directly. They seem to respond pretty quickly to emails, but it's worth calling them if you have a urgent question.

Can I get a sample of the kibble before buying it?

I'm not sure - I'd recommend contacting the company directly to ask about their sample policy. They might be willing to send you a sample or offer a discount on your first purchase.
