Back in July, I placed an order for the AGREEN CLEAN KIOTO mattress from a store that promised top-notch customer service. The sales rep was super helpful, and we chatted about the different models until we found the perfect one for our needs. The price was reasonable, and I was excited to get it delivered.
Fast forward to August 23rd, the delivery day. The driver showed up with the mattress and had a tablet with all the delivery details, including the price and model number. He collected the cash payment of 15,199 rubles and left the mattress without any documentation.
I was taken aback, but I thought maybe it was just a one-off mistake. So, I checked the store's website, and what I found was pretty surprising.
When you receive your order, you're supposed to get a full set of documents, including a receipt and a warranty card. If needed, they'll provide quality certificates.
Yeah, right! I didn't get any documents, and I'm still waiting for them. I'm starting to think this was just a ruse to get me to pay up.
After opening the packaging, I discovered a defect in the mattress's stitching. I took some photos and sent them to the store's manager. They created a complaint (document N МАТС 010939) and supposedly sent it to the factory. Three days later, I received an email saying they'd take the mattress back and refund my money via bank transfer within 10 working days.
I checked their website again, and here's what it says about returns:
Voucher refund
You'll get your money back in cash or on your bank card. If you paid in cash, the delivery service will refund you on the spot. If you paid by card, the refund will take 1-3 working days (depending on your bank). For businesses, the refund will be made within 2-5 working days via bank transfer.
It's clear to me now that their return policy is just a bunch of empty promises. I'm still waiting for my refund, and it's been a month since I returned the mattress. The store's managers seem to be avoiding me, and I'm starting to lose hope.
