Editor's Summary
I've been using Advcash since 2020, and it's been a total lifesaver for international transactions. I love that they have Russian-speaking customer support – it's a huge plus. Plus, it's not just for freelancers and startups; big businesses use it too. Advcash has been a total game-changer for me, especially when it comes to working with CIS countries and Russia. The payment process is seamless, and I appreciate the extra layer of security they offer.
Specifications
I've been using Advcash since 2020 when one of the projects I worked on paid me out to this e-wallet. I really liked the site and wasn't planning to leave, but I had to get used to the new payment system.
This payment system is super popular in the CIS countries, but it also works in Russia. As of now, according to the stats, over 5 million people are registered here. In Russia, it works without any issues, and they even have Russian-speaking customer support, which is a major plus.
Advcash works with any type of cryptocurrency, and it's not just freelancers and startupers who use it - businesses do too. I've seen some big names using it for international transactions.
Registration is a breeze - you just need an email address and some personal details. For extra security, you need to input a PIN code that gets sent to your email every time you log in. Without it, you can't access your account. I was initially worried about security, but it's actually pretty straightforward. You can register either a personal or business account. Before signing up, it's a good idea to check out the User Agreement and Privacy Policy, and then tick the boxes to confirm you agree with everything. As soon as you do that, the 'Register' button becomes active. I made sure to read the fine print before signing up.
Registration is completely free, but recently they introduced a new rule - if you don't use your wallet for a month or more, you'll need to pay $1 as an inactive user. I'm not sure why they did this, but I guess it's a way to keep users active.
Right after registration, you get assigned several currency accounts - USD, EUR, UAN, KZT, GBP, and some others. They used to have a ruble account, but it's been removed. The payment system also works with cryptocurrency, which is really convenient.
Verification. To use cryptocurrency or withdraw money to foreign wallets, you need to go through verification. In my case, I had to provide my foreign passport and Greek residence permit. Without these documents, withdrawal wouldn't have been possible, and they would have simply deleted the documents.
Verification isn't always necessary, but it gives you more options. They check your documents super fast - it took me around 15 minutes, but sometimes it can take up to a day, after which you'll get a 'Verified' status and a green tick next to your username will appear.
I top up my account using Payer, which is super convenient - transactions happen instantly, and my funds arrive right away. It's really fast and easy.
Withdrawing to my Revolut card, which I've had since summer, is easy peasy - the funds arrive instantly. You can send money to Visa, Mastercard, or bank accounts worldwide (if you're verified, of course). If your destination isn't available, you can use a currency exchange service. The withdrawal process is pretty straightforward.
Transferring to a Visa card is a breeze - just enter your details, card number, and double-check for any typos, or you won't get your money back. And confirm the transfer. The funds arrive right away.
Advcash allows you to add a card, but I didn't need it, and it's not available for Greece, anyway.
Last summer, Advcash rebranded to Volet, but that didn't change anything. The design got a minor update, but I didn't need to re-register - all my details were transferred automatically.
Volet's pros:
- It's an offshore payment system that doesn't sell your personal data.
- Multi-currency support.
- Instant top-ups from some payment systems.
- Protection against hacking.
- Security.
- Fresh news always.
My only gripe is that I couldn't top up my account using a Russian card.
I'm pretty happy with Volet so far - no major issues.
I'd definitely recommend it!
