Editor's Summary
I tried Abrikos because their prices seemed as low as the big chain Ashan. The courier showed up the next day, let us peek at the boxes before we signed, which was a nice touch. But that 1,000‑ruble delivery fee really stung, and the fruit let me down – the apples were mushy, the oranges had thick skins and dry pulp, and the pears were almost over‑ripe. The cucumbers were crisp, yet the whole deal fell short on value for money.
Specifications
Hey everyone!
One sunny Sunday, my husband and I skipped our usual Ashan run and tried ordering online. Home delivery’s supposed to be modern and super convenient, right?
We ended up on Abrikos – the prices looked decent and were about the same as Ashan’s. In the end we spent about 5.5 thousand rubles.
First surprise: delivery costs at least 1,000 rubles, no matter how much you order.
The delivery itself was fine—they showed up the next day, handed everything over, and gave us a chance to check the list.
Now onto the juicy part – product quality. Let’s start with the fruit.
The apples were just okay. In the photos you can see they’re not perfectly green and they’re a bit soft for their variety.
The oranges had a thick rind, and inside they were dry and kind of nasty. The pears were overly soft, almost over‑ripe – but hey, some people like that.
The veggies were a mixed bag—the cucumbers were super crunchy and tasty; we ate a kilo in three days. The broccoli was decent, not perfect but no gray tips either. The iceberg lettuce was a letdown—it looked wilted, like it’d been sitting in the warehouse forever.
And the worst part— the meat. The chicken breast wasn’t rotten, but it wasn’t fresh either; there was a faint off‑smell. The turkey was passable. But the cod fillet… First off, they only sell it in a minimum three‑kilogram pack! And the packaging—oh man, it drove me nuts. Just loose fillets in an open bag.
See those tails sticking out? The fillet itself is dry as a bone and smells like fish that’s been stuck in the freezer forever.
Bottom line: I can’t recommend this sketchy company. They store food in questionable conditions, and the quality is worse than Ashan’s. Low prices don’t make up for what’s happening at Abrikos. At best you could buy dry goods there, and even those aren’t that terrible.
