Abib Collagen Gel Face Mask with Heartleaf Jelly

I've tried my fair share of face masks, but this Collagen Gel one from Abib really stands out. It's made with heartleaf jelly and collagen, which work together to lock in moisture and leave my skin feeling silky smooth. I've got dry skin, so I was a bit skeptical at first, but this stuff really delivers. It's super easy to apply and remove, and I can already see the difference after just a few uses. The combination of heartleaf jelly and collagen helps to hydrate my skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Plus, it's a great value for money, especially considering the quality of the ingredients and the effectiveness of the mask.

A solid hydrogel mask that delivers on hydration and calmness, but falls short on one key aspect

summarizeEditor's Summary

I've been a fan of Abib for a while, so I decided to give their hydrogel masks a shot. The green series with houttuynia is a great option for calming effects, but it falls short in one key area. I bought a set of 4 masks for 990 rubles on Stylekorean, which I thought was a solid deal. The packaging is pretty standard, but the mask itself is where the magic happens. I used it for a week, and I was blown away by how well it hydrated my skin. However, the individual masks are a bit pricey when bought separately. All in all, it's a solid product, but not without its flaws.

Hello there!
I've been a fan of Abib brand for a while now, so I decided to give their hydrogel masks a try - I went for the green series with houttuynia because my skin really appreciates the calming effect.
Price: 320 rubles before discounts at Holsishop, I bought a set of 4 masks for 990 rubles on Stylekorean, which I thought was a great deal.
Masks can be bought either in a set or individually - the main difference is the additional box, the packaging itself is the same.
Inside, everything's pretty standard - 2 large parts with cutouts for the eyes and mouth, and the halves are separated by plastic film.Weight - 35 g. Made in Korea, which is always a plus for me when it comes to the overall quality and how easy it is to use.Ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Isopentyldiol, Niacinamide, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Propanediol, Chondrus Crispus Powder, Collagen Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Ceratonia Siliqua (Carob) Gum, Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Xylitol, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Calamine, Diospyros Kaki Leaf Extract, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Fruit Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Flower Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Castanea Crenata (Chestnut) Shell Extract, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Mentha Rotundifolia Leaf Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Leaf Extract, Glycereth-26, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Kaolin (CI 77004), Hydroxyacetophenone, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Allantoin, Glyceryl Stearate, Glucomannan, Panthenol, Cellulose Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Chloride, Octyldodeceth-16, Adenosine, Sodium Phytate, Dextrin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Tocopherol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Xanthan Gum, Cetearyl Alcohol
I've got to say, this mask has a smooth side and a textured side. I applied it to my skin with the textured side facing out, hoping it would stick better - and it did, by the way.
The hydrogel is really nice - not too thin, and there's enough essence left over in the packaging.
The mold is really well-designed - it stayed put on my smaller face, and I didn't have to worry about it slipping off. The first 5 minutes, it did try to slide off a bit around my chin, but once it dried out a bit, it stuck in place. Removing it was super comfortable, and it came off in one piece.About my skin: I'm 33, and I've got combination skin (my T-zone is on the oilier side, while my cheeks are normal). I'm prone to dehydration, and my skin's pretty sensitive - it gets red easily, and I've got some areas that are extra sensitive. The manufacturer recommends applying the mask after toner, letting it absorb for a bit, then applying the mask and leaving it on for 20-30 minutes. I did exactly that, and after 30 minutes, it had dried out a bit and felt like it was working its magic without any discomfort. I'm not a fan of wearing masks for 2-3 hours until they're fully absorbed, so 30 minutes is my sweet spot - I'm definitely a fan of this brand now.
The mask after 30 minutesI'd seen nothing but positive reviews on this mask, so I had high expectations. Everyone raved about how well it moisturizes and reduces puffiness, and how it's also got a calming effect on the skin. Let's break it down - what I actually saw for myself.
Hydrating is a solid four out of five for me. Given that my home is basically a desert with super dry air, this mask really delivered, beating out the more hyped Biodance option.I also noticed a small calming effect, which helped even out my skin tone a bit.My face looked refreshed after using the mask.Reducing puffiness was a letdown, though. I actually preferred the green Biodance option in this regard. I woke up with some noticeable puffiness (you can see it clearly in the pic), and while the mask did help a bit, I was hoping for more dramatic results.Check out the before picThe finish after the mask was natural-looking with a healthy glow. I'm not a fan of that glass skin look, so this was a plus for me.The mask also temporarily tightened pores and gave my skin a bit of bounce – a nice bonus, even if it's temporary.Check out the after picAfter using the mask, I applied my usual skincare and makeup without rinsing off the essence. My toner worked great everywhere except my chin, where I got some uneven texture... My skincare and toner were the same as usual, so I'm stumped as to what caused it. It wasn't as bad as the Round Lab mask, but it was still annoying. The verdict is that this is a decent hydrogel mask that left me with some nice impressions, despite the uneven texture issue. Now I'm curious to try the rose version – I bet it'll be even more hydrating!
