Editor's Summary
I'm thrilled to share my experience with Pripsyl - a game-changer for my kid's dentist visits! We've had our fair share of anxiety-filled trips to the dentist, but Pripsyl has genuinely made a difference. The moment we walked in, the staff was super friendly and put my kid at ease. The dentist was gentle, explained everything in a way my kid could understand, and even let them pick out their own toothbrush. I was blown away by the build quality of the equipment - it's clear they're committed to making this a pain-free experience. My kid's smile is back, and I couldn't be happier!

I'll never forget the day my daughter's teeth started coming in. It was around eight months, and most of them were out by eighteen months, with the rest following shortly after. But what really caught my attention was a brownish stain on her teeth. I took a closer look and realized it wasn't just a minor issue. My pediatrician confirmed it wasn't a big deal, and I've looked it up online too.
Since it's not covered by our insurance, and it's not affecting her teeth or causing any problems, I decided to try and clean it off with toothpaste. I'd heard it was possible to remove stains with toothpaste, so I gave it a shot. I tried ROCS Baby 0-3 years, but the toothpaste was pretty gross. It didn't do anything to the stain, and it was below average quality. That's when I bought Rox and decided to write a review, but it didn't do anything, so I didn't end up writing one. I've kept the photos from back then, though. My daughter was around two and a half years old in this photo, and the stain is pretty visible. My daughter's been using Elmex Kids 2-6 years and Biorepair Kids 0-6 years on her permanent teeth. I realized Biorepair worked better for us, and now I just alternate between the four different flavors. As you can see from the photos, we were able to remove some of the stain. It's pretty clear on the single teeth, and there's almost no stain left on the double and triple teeth. The rest was removed by the dentist. Not long ago, my daughter started complaining about toothache, and since I know she's a bit of a hypochondriac, I decided to err on the side of caution and get her teeth checked out. Her teeth before I wouldn't call the stain critical, but it was there, and it definitely wasn't something I was happy about. Her teeth beforeShe had her first dental cleaning at the age of five at a private clinic in our city, with a pediatric dentist, of course. We go for regular check-ups every six months or so, and so far, no treatment has been necessary. I prefer the option of just cleaning them regularly.
They took a look, since we came in with complaints about toothache, and besides the stain, they found nothing. I wasn't surprised, since I've been checking her teeth myself. They decided to clean her teeth instead of treating anything, since treating multiple teeth at once is painful and expensive. But since there was nothing to treat, they just cleaned them.
I'd had them put on some cartoons, given my kid the goggles, unfolded the dental chair, and we got started. They used the ultrasonic cleaner only for the toughest spots, and mostly just used special brushes. My kid's plaque wasn't too bad, according to the dentist. The whole procedure took less than 15 minutes, including prep.
I didn't see much of what was going on, since the dentist was behind me, but since I've had professional cleanings myself, I know what usually happens.
My kid took it all very calmly, only squealing a couple of times on the back molars near the gum., they didn't quite get all the plaque off there, but for me, it's about finding a balance between healthy teeth and not causing pain during treatment, so I was okay with leaving a tiny bit behind. I didn't see the point in making my kid suffer, and she was already being pretty stoic, though she said it was sometimes painful and uncomfortable. We left with a good result.
They gave her some soap bubbles, showed her again how to brush her teeth properly, and I paid for the privilege. Our professional cleaning cost 3000 rubles.
Before and after might be even more telling, but I think it's pretty clear either way - My kid's teeth didn't get yellower, that's just different lighting - I took the 'before' pic in the sun, and the 'after' in the clouds. The color of her teeth is about a tone lighter, I think. Plaque Before/AfterBy the evening of the first day, there was some mild bleeding of the gums when brushing teeth, although my kid didn't complain about pain. By the next morning, everything was fine.
Smiling with all her clean teeth'After' up close. My kid is absolutely thrilled, smiling at all her clean teeth. I'm generally pretty happy too, even though they didn't quite get all the plaque off, leaving a couple of tiny areas untouched, since my kid was getting a bit uncomfortable. I didn't see the point in making her suffer, and she was already being pretty stoic, though she said it was sometimes painful and uncomfortable. Pros:
I've gotta say, the whole experience was a breeze. The procedure itself was pretty quick and not too painful, unless you've got some serious plaque buildup. Thankfully, no anesthesia was needed, and the first impression of visiting the dentist was a positive one. I took my kid to the dentist, and they did something to their teeth, it was fast, painless, and not scary at all. By the time they need actual treatment, they won't be terrified.
The aesthetic benefits are a definite plus for the smile. Your teeth and gums look a bit whiter, and the absence of that dark plaque is super noticeable. With a strong buildup, you might not even notice the early stages of cavities. When your teeth are clean, it's way easier to inspect and clean them properly. It's also a cost-effective option compared to getting your teeth treated. So, what's the verdict?
Naturally, I'd recommend regular dental hygiene. It's always better to prevent problems than to deal with the aftermath. Genetics play a role, but we also have control over our oral health.
From me, 5 stars and a thumbs up!
