A few months ago, our Bengal cat gave birth to kittens. All of them turned out great - cute, beautiful, intelligent, and active. However, due to excessive activity, the kitten injured its paw. Surgery, treatment, recovery...
We were shocked, to say the least, as the situation was quite complicated. In a literal sense, we had to save the kitten's life, and without surgery, it was impossible. After that, our vet prescribed the antibiotic "Kladaxa". I realized that I had dealt with something similar before - I used amoxicillin with clavulanic acid to treat my own strep throat, but now it's for our beloved pet, in a pediatric cat dose.We gave the kitten this antibiotic prophylactically to prevent bone and soft tissue infections, as well as other postoperative complications.
Let me tell you, it was tough to even get half the pill into the kitten, although it's supposed to be chewable. I'm guessing the taste is bitter, which is why the little guy kept spitting it out. We had to literally force it down, but we didn't have a choice.
Kladax reviewsWe gave the kitten antibiotics for a few days, and we didn't notice any side effects. By the next day, the kitten was running around the apartment like nothing had happened, was active, and ate well.
We were lucky that, despite a small cut on the kitten's paw, it was adopted by new owners right away. And to be honest, it was really hard for me to say goodbye. Even our cat Cleo had a special spot in her heart for this little guy.Because of all the trouble the kitten caused us (and itself), we ended up getting attached to it, and it to us. But now it's in good hands, where it will be cared for even more carefully than we could.
Thanks to the veterinarians and the antibiotic Kladax, we were able to save the kitten, even if it's not going to be with us. So if your pet is prescribed this medication, make sure to complete the course of treatment to save the animal.
