Editor's Summary
I'm writing this review as a warning to others after a terrible experience at Skolkovo Vet. I took my pet in for a routine checkup, but things quickly went downhill. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, and the waiting area was dirty and uncomfortable. My pet ended up needing emergency surgery, and the communication from the vet was poor throughout the process. The final bill was also much higher than I expected, and when I asked for an itemized breakdown, I was met with resistance. Needless to say, I won't be taking my pet back to Skolkovo Vet again.

I want to share the devastating story of my cat's treatment at Skolkovo Vet.
My 9-year-old cat was diagnosed with chronic rhinitis, otitis, and frontitis after a computer tomography scan at Skolkovo Vet. The pulmonologist recommended a rhinoscopy and meringotomy procedure, which was performed on March 30, 2025. The vet said everything went smoothly, but the next day, March 31, 2025, my cat's breathing became severely impaired, and I rushed her back to Skolkovo Vet.
The doctor examined her, administered neofopam, serenine, and prednisolone, and sent us home with a note stating that my cat was a stable patient.
However, on April 1, 2025, my cat's breathing worsened, and I took her back to Skolkovo Vet. They admitted her to the O.R.I.T. ward for artificial ventilation, diagnosing acute respiratory distress syndrome and secondary bacterial polysaccharide pneumonia.
Over the next 9 days, my cat was treated by a series of doctors at O.R.I.T. Skolkovo Vet. They performed 2 blood transfusions, administered various medications, conducted numerous tests, and installed a gastrostomy. But in the end, the treatment led to sepsis, peritonitis, ischemic encephalopathy (a type of stroke), critical blood pressure drops, kidney failure, and a coma.
On April 9, 2025, at 9 am, the vet called me to say that my cat hadn't urinated in days and that there was no hope for her survival. I requested that they euthanize her to spare her suffering. The total cost for the 9-day reanimation at Skolkovo Vet was 483,000 rubles, plus the cost of blood bank services and the gastrostomy, which came out to over 550,000 rubles. The result was nothing short of devastating.
I took my cat in for a scheduled operation, expecting a smooth recovery, but what I got was a nightmare. I brought back an urn with her ashes, and it's a pain that I'll carry with me forever.
I've presented the facts without my emotions or comments, though I have plenty – about the vets' age, experience, and the prices in the reanimation ward. However, I won't be sharing those.
Let each reader decide for themselves whether it's worth taking their pet to Skolkovo Vet, but be warned: my experience was a heartbreaker.
