Editor's Summary

I picked up this book with my little one, and we both fell in love with the main character, a funny little hedgehog named Fyry. The book's design is beautiful, with a unique collage-style cover and colorful illustrations. However, the stories themselves were a bit of a letdown for me. The lack of a clear moral or takeaway was a bummer, and some of the characters were pretty scary. Still, the book's engaging nature and educational value make it worth a look, even if it's not without its flaws, and I appreciate the value for money considering the build quality and ease of use.

Verdictİyi

Hello there, fellow book lovers!

I've had this book on my shelf for ages, and I finally got around to reading it with my little one. It's been over a year since it was published in 2013. I picked it up at a local bookstore in my hometown of Tambov, 'Moya Kniga', and the price was a bit steep - 131 rubles. But I think it would've been worth it even 10 years ago.

The book's design is just begging to be picked up, with its unique collage-style cover and colorful illustrations. I'm pretty sure there was a whole series of these books. The author, Alexei Shevchenko, was a new name to me at the time, but the cover drew me in.

My daughter and I fell in love with the main character, a funny little hedgehog named Fyry. We've got a soft toy hedgehog with a lightning bolt, and my daughter named it Fyry too - how cute is that? I've included a few pictures of the book, so you can see what I'm talking about.

I have to admit, I didn't quite get the story at first, but now I wish I'd taken the time to understand it better. The book is essentially a collection of short stories, and while they're not particularly engaging, there are some interesting facts about nature and animal behavior.

For example, the first story, 'Bear's Dream', teaches us about the life cycle of bears and their habitats. You can also learn about beavers, frogs, bees, and even the natural world and its wonders.

While the stories themselves are a bit lacking, the book does have some redeeming qualities. The illustrations are modern and engaging, and my daughter loved looking at the colorful pictures more than reading the text. The book's design is definitely one-of-a-kind, with glossy pages and a unique layout. However, some of the illustrations feel a bit outdated.

I'd recommend this book to anyone who loves colorful illustrations and wants to learn about nature and animal behavior. It's a great way to expand your child's knowledge and vocabulary, but it's not without its flaws. My daughter never quite finished reading it, but I think that's more a testament to her short attention span than the book itself.

My rating? 4 out of 5 stars. I think it's a great addition to any bookshelf, but it's not a must-read by any means.

A Book that Could Mess with Your Head - Not in a Good Way

A psychological thriller that'll keep you guessing, but not in a good way. Unpredictable plot, complex characters, and themes that'll make you question reality.
