Our Dream Vacation: 10 Nights of Bliss

summarizeEditor's Summary

We just got back from an incredible 10-night trip to this hotel, and I'm still buzzing from the experience. The value for money was unbeatable – every single ruble we spent was worth it. The room was a major highlight, with super-soft pillows and a surprisingly spacious layout that felt like home. But what really made our stay stand out was the food – a vast spread of options that left us all speechless, from juicy burgers to fresh seafood. And let's not forget the staff – they were super friendly, especially our Russian-speaking housekeeper who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

We just got back from an incredible 10-night trip to this hotel, and I'm still buzzing from the experience. Our whole family of three spent 397,000 rubles from Volgograd, from August 13th to 23rd, and every single ruble was worth it – the value for money was unbeatable.
The room was a major highlight. We booked the standard, most budget-friendly option, and it was surprisingly spacious compared to other hotels. There were a few little black ants in the room, but they didn't bother me or gross me out. The pillows were super soft, and the housekeeping staff changed the bedding more times than I can count. Towels were replaced every day, and they even brought us single-use shampoo bottles and other toiletries daily. The only thing they didn't replace was the loofah, which they gave us on the first day and never brought again. The air conditioner was central, but adjustable – a really convenient feature. We stayed in room 1758, and our housekeeper was Russian-speaking, by the way.
The food was another story altogether. I've never seen such a vast spread of options in my life. On the first day, we were blown away by the sheer quantity and quality of food. Salmon in all its forms, beef, lamb, mutton, mussels, squid, crabs – everything was so deliciously prepared that I wished I had an extra stomach. Fruits were plentiful too: oranges, watermelons, plums, peaches, pears, kiwis, apples, and watermelons. For kids, there were all sorts of cereal and candy. The kids' table had oatmeal, sausage, and steamed veggies. There were all sorts of milkshakes, yogurt (like Activia and Raisin), and fruit salads. We never had to wait in line, and we always found a spot in the restaurant. After the 18th, it seemed like the crowds dissipated, and it was super easy to find a table and there were no crowds at all. I want to give a huge shoutout to the chefs working for the hotel guests – their work is incredible. Kudos to them. The only thing that didn't impress me was the desserts – they were all unappetizing, although there were plenty of them and they looked beautiful. But honestly, we're used to eating watermelon as a dessert, and it was always fresh and sweet. The pizza at the restaurant near the water park was also delicious, and there was always enough to go around. Kudos to the chef. I'm not even kidding when I say I never felt hungry once...
As for the animation, we didn't really participate in anything since we were either at the pool or beach with our kid. We did watch the evening performances – mini-concerts, which were all super well-rehearsed by the visiting collectives. There were dances, acrobats, and stunt performers. We enjoyed watching the mini-concerts, and they were definitely a highlight of our trip.
The resort's grounds are huge and well-maintained, teeming with wildlife – cats, turkeys, and turtles. You won't find any riffraff here. What really caught me off guard was the number of Russians and Kazakhs – about 90% of the guests were from these countries. You could've sworn everyone understood you when you spoke out loud.
The beach is spotless, but you might have to fight for a spot on the sand – people tend to hog the loungers by the pool and the beach, and they're not always easy to find. It's pretty annoying, to be honest.
All in all, the vacation was amazing. We had an incredible time, and I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

cancelCons

  • •The hotel is a bit far from civilization, but we didn't let that bother us – we were too busy enjoying the hotel's amenities to worry about the location.
  • •There were a few little black ants in the room, but they didn't gross me out – I mean, it's not like they were a deal-breaker or anything.
  • •The loofah was only replaced once, and then we were out of luck – but hey, at least we had a loofah to start with, right?
  • •The pool area could've been cleaner – a bit of a letdown, but not enough to ruin our stay.
  • •The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times, but we managed to stay connected – and let's be real, it's not like we were trying to win any awards for internet speed.
  • •The hotel could benefit from more English-speaking staff – a minor inconvenience, but one that we were able to navigate with a little bit of effort.
