My Pomeranian's Go-To Food: A Honest Review
I'm excited to share my honest experience with my Pomeranian's favorite food.
My 7-year-old Pomeranian has been eating premium and super-premium dry food for a while, but she's quite the picky eater, so I've tried different brands to see what she likes best.
But she's got a special spot in her heart for Royal Canin Pomeranian Adult food for Pomeranians 8 months and older.
Usually, I buy a pack of 500g or 1.5kg (that size lasts us a long time).
I've noticed that Pomeranian Spitzes are generally very healthy and live a long life, up to 12-16 years, but they do require special care. One of their standout features is their beautiful coat with a thick undercoat.
The unique formula of this product supports skin health and barrier function, promotes shiny coat by EPA and DHA, and omega-3 fatty acids from flaxseed oil.
The combination of different types of fiber, including psyllium husk and seeds, helps stimulate digestive transit, high-quality proteins (L.I.P.*) provide optimal stool consistency.
Glucomannan and chondroitin sulfate help protect joint health, particularly for Pomeranian Spitzes prone to knee joint issues. The kibble is specifically designed to meet the small jaw size of Pomeranian Spitzes, with the right texture and size for easy consumption.
The formula helps maintain healthy teeth and reduces the risk of tartar buildup by binding calcium in saliva.
I feed my dog twice a day after a walk, pouring the right amount, taking into account her weight, which is under 2 kg, and activity level (in winter, there's much less movement than in spring and summer).
I always make sure there's plenty of water available, as both my dog and cat drink from the same bowl.
Practically never have I had any issues with appetite, and this food always seems to appeal to both my dog and the cat (I have to shoo her away, or she'll try to chase my dog away).
My dog always eats her normal amount, leaving almost nothing behind. Stool after eating this food is always well-formed, normal color and consistency. No constipation or digestive issues.
As for bone health - we've taken every precaution to prevent my dog from getting hurt. She doesn't climb on furniture or beds, and we don't go for walks with big, energetic dogs that might accidentally hurt her in play. So, I'm not in a position to comment on bone health.
But what I can say is that this food doesn't contribute to tooth plaque at all. That's a huge problem for small dogs, and we're no exception.
My dog has been missing half her teeth for a while now, and when things got really bad in her mouth, she had to have a bunch of teeth removed under anesthesia a few years ago. But the results only lasted a few months - tooth plaque just kept coming back.
Her coat hasn't become any thicker or super shiny, either - it's just the same as it's always been.
Overall, I have no complaints about the food. I didn't expect it to improve her joint health, her coat, or prevent tooth plaque - I just wanted to make sure she's eating something good and not allergic to it.
And that's exactly what I get. So, I'd definitely RECOMMEND it!
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thanks for making it to the end! Glad I could help.
Good luck with your purchases and have a great day!
