Editor's Summary
I recently tried the Balm-Scalp Toner Ballet with Sage Extract, and I'm excited to share my honest thoughts on it. This balm caught my eye on VK, but I was bummed to find out it's not available in stores near me. The price jumps around quite a bit, too - I paid 244 rubles for 200 ml, which is a bit steep. Despite the drawbacks, I was pleasantly surprised by the balm's lightweight formula, which doesn't weigh my hair down. The sage extract scent is lovely, and the quality is top-notch. However, the balm doesn't last long, and the price for the volume is a bit high. I'm still using it, though, because it's a decent product with some nice features. I just wish it came in a larger size and was more widely available.

Balm - Scalp Toner Ballet Freedom, reviewI came across this balm on VK and just had to order it. The reviews were mostly positive, but some girls mentioned that it's way cheaper in stores. Unfortunately, it's not available at my local Magnit Cosmetics, and there aren't any other stores in my town that carry it. So, I'm stuck with the selection and prices on VK.

❤ ORGANOLEPTIC PROPERTIES:
AROMA - this is one of the balm's strongest points.
For me, it's super pleasant. I won't say it's natural, there are notes of chemical-ness to it, but sometimes those kinds of aromas are even better than natural ones. They evoke nice memories.
It's mostly a herbal scent, but I have no idea if it's really from the sage, as I don't remember its smell. Although, I used to make sage tea for preventative scalp inflammation.
I recall the tea was brown. But the balm is green, they didn't skimp on the dye:
Balancing Shampoo - Freedom Ballet, reviewConsistency of a regular balm. Medium thickness and density, soft, not sticky.
❤ FORMULA:
Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol, Distearyldimonium Chloride, PEG-4 Polyglyceryl-2 Stearate, Bidens Tripartita Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Parfum, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Magnesium Chloride, Magnesium Nitrate, Citric Acid, CI 47005, CI 42090, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Limonene.
For those who are interested in the formula, I'll break it down by EcoGold:
I'm in the camp of people who care only about the product's effectiveness. If my hair looks healthy and beautiful after using this balm, I'd happily use it, even if it contains cow urine.
❤ APPLICATION:
My hair is dry and damaged from hair dyes, so it's brittle and frizzy. That's why I apply balm after shampooing to keep it moisturized.
Application is straightforward - I apply it to the ends of my hair, avoiding the roots.
If I have the time, I like to do a warm mask using this balm. I apply it, put on a thermal cap, or use a hair dryer to warm it up:

But, let's be real, I don't always have the time or energy for that.
I usually just apply it and rinse it out:
Balancing Shampoo - Freedom Ballet, reviewThis is what my hair looks like with the balm on it.
After rinsing the balm out, I dry my hair with a hair dryer:
Then, I comb my hair and use a hair straightener to get rid of any frizz:
Balancing Shampoo - Freedom Ballet, reviewIt rinses out easily.
The balm leaves a light scent on my hair when it's wet, which I enjoy. When my hair is dry, I don't notice the scent anymore, but if I sweat after wearing a hat, the scent comes back.
My hair looks healthy, but that's probably due to the hair straightener:
Freedom Ballet Balm - ReviewI'm happy to report that the volume from the balm doesn't get lost.
As for the ease of combing, I think it's pretty standard - I'm not really fussed about it, to be honest. I've got my trusty Tangl Tizer comb now, and it's made me forget all about this.
Freedom Ballet Balm - Review
There's definitely some softness there, but it's not exactly abundant. My hair still retains its structure, and it's become more nourished and slightly denser.
Freedom Ballet Balm - ReviewFor me, that's not a minus - it's actually a plus. My hair just looks a bit different after using this balm compared to others.
It lacks a bit of flakiness.
My hair is silky smooth.
Freedom Ballet Balm - ReviewAfter using this balm, I ended up buying a set of shampoos from the same brand in tubes. It's worth noting that all their products - shampoos, conditioners, and balm - share a common drawback. For my hair type, I need to use a decent amount of each product. While Ladrovsky's Korean mask requires just a couple of pinches, I go through way more of the Ballet balm. Although, it might be my hair's fault, not the product's.
The scent is pleasant, with a hint of chemical notes, but it's really nice - it brings back nostalgic memories and lingers on my hair.Good old FreedomMy hair is nourishedNo volume lossEasy to rinse off
It's not very economical - I need to use a decent amount of product
❤ I highly recommend the Freedom Ballet Balm with Marigold extract:
Freedom Ballet Balm - ReviewI'd definitely recommend it.
It's not a top performer, but for me, it's a solid B+
Freedom Ballet Balm - ReviewThe main drawback is that it's not very economical - I need to use a decent amount of product for my hair.
However, I'm generally happy with the balm's performance - my hair feels healthier, more nourished, and smoother after using it.
