Editor's Summary
I picked up the ACOOLA hat for my daughter during the demis season, and I'm glad I did. The fleece lining is super cozy, and the classic design with a flip-up section is a total game changer. But let's get real - it's not designed for freezing weather, so don't expect it to keep your little ones warm in subzero temps. I've been using it for a week now, and it's been perfect for milder winter days. The value for money is great, especially considering the quality of the hat.
Specifications
Hey there, fellow parents!
I'm always on the lookout for great hats for my little ones, and when the demis season rolled around, I found myself scrambling to find some new ones. My daughter's old hats were looking a bit worn out, to say the least, so I decided to give the ACOOLA hat a try. I picked it up at Detsky Mir, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on it.
According to the manufacturer, this hat's designed to provide comfort and protection in cold weather. The wool-free lining is made of fleece, which adds an extra layer of warmth and coziness. It's perfect for winter walks, and the classic design with a flip-up section makes it easy to adjust the fit and keep your child's ears warm.
I gotta say, the hat doesn't quite live up to the recommended temperature range of -15°C to +5°C. In my opinion, it's more suitable for temperatures around -1°C, and if it gets colder than that, you'll need something with more substantial ear protection, like a hat with a deeper fit or a helmet.
The composition is 55% polyester and 45% acrylic, which means it's not suitable for really cold winters without any additional layers. But hey, at least the manufacturer thought of the fleece lining, which helps retain heat and prevent irritation on your child's forehead.
The design is pretty and visually appealing, but it can be a bit tricky to put on. The colors are a nice gradient from pink to purple with white stripes.
My daughter loves wearing this hat on mild demis-season days, but it's not suitable for really cold weather. The sizing is accurate, though.
As for maintenance, it's a bit of a pain to wash by hand in warm water without any conditioner.
Anyway, I hope you found this review helpful! My daughter's been wearing it nonstop on our shorter winter walks, and it's definitely a great value for money. Just keep in mind that it's not designed for extreme cold.
